What a fabulous quote...another set of words to live by!
@@@@@@@*****Boring stuff....
I used to have tons of interests, but it seems as I age, I lose interest in things quickly! Some of my varied interests are reading, crosswords, computer games, Court TV, following my son's band, music, and if I really get in the mood, i will do some small crafts,-needlepoint/crochet
-coloring. Those are far & few between though! Yupper, I sure am getting old.

This up and coming week brings us back to hershey to see RUSH...of course my son says he won't enjoy it much, cause he just saw them in their home town of Toronto Canada...and that was a KICK ASS concert... :-)
WAILING WATERS! My son's band who have grown over the past 4 years. this slide show shows how much fun these guys are and what a awesome time it is to see them live!
Pictures are from their most recent preformance at
Riverside Barr & Grill May 2, 2008. Also, my son turned 18 right at midnight! There were some special guest appearances from Justin (POSTAL) and Josh Trimmer on guitar & he is also a die hard roadie for the boys! ...it was such a fun night and all the guys that kicked in and jammed with them, only made it that much better! Proud Mom...(annoying too!!!) LOL
I love New Jersey & I am damn proud to STILL call myself a "jerseyan!!!!" As it has been said, "you can take the girl outta jersey, but not the jersey outta the girl" :-)

I also like contest type shows too, "Deal or no deal", "Are you smarter than a fifth grader?" "The Moment of Truth".....that's all I can think of right now. Hum....guess I really have no life and I basically watch TV most of the time....so sad, eh?
At the present moment The Bible..
In an effort to discover the secret to happiness?
Faith is a funny thing. We all “keep the faith†“Have faith†- or so we try. It is hard to keep or have faith when it is so diverse. The dictionary defines faith as
faith [fayth](plural faiths)
n
1. belief or trust: belief in, devotion to, or trust in somebody or something, especially without logical proof "I wouldn't put my faith in him to straighten things out."
2. religion or religious group: a system of religious belief, or the group of people who adhere to it
3. trust in God: belief in and devotion to God "Her faith is unwavering."
4. set of beliefs: a strongly held set of beliefs or principles people of different political faiths
5. loyalty: allegiance or loyalty to somebody or something
[13th century. Via Old French feid < Latin fides "trust, belief"]
keep faith with somebody or something to be loyal or true to a person or promise
keep the faith do not despair regardless of what may happen Keep the faith; "we'll get through this."
on faith without demanding proof
I decided to re-evaluate my faith. I truly believe I possess all these qualities listed above….. With the exception of the religion aspect. That is why I am reading the Bible. I’ve been a skeptic for over 35+ years. However in light of the way things are going in my life, I am willing to re read the Bible and give it a chance. It will be a VERY hard transition for me, I hold NO promises that I will change my views, as they are quite strong and my questionable views on God are deeply rooted. But, it seems that many people have faith that never falters, despite what happens in their lives, so I will seek out what it is that makes religion & God so strong in others.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I’ve read both the New & Old testament in my youth but have forgotten much, so a revisit might just do the trick.
As for other reading....
There are so many authors that i really like. I am a total Stephen King fan! I also love John Grisham, waiting now to read his new and long awaited book "The Appeal". I have so many books lined up for summer, that I actually vowed not to buy any more books until I have read most, if not all the ones I have waiting. Sadly, (well, maybe sadly) I am Barnes and Nobles best friend! I spend more time and money in that store, it's unreal.
Among some of my other fav's are:Janet Evanovich,
Mitch Albom,
Nicholas Sparks,
Mariah Stewart,
Karen Slaughter,
Kyle Mills,
Carly Phillips,
John Sandford..
And so many more!
On a lighter note...
My lovely step daughter put this on my page as a comment but i LOVE it so much (as well as her!!!) that I had to make it permanent! thank you Tara, I Love you!!
Also, we should all live by this rule of thumb! :-)
My two wonderful children...i cherish them above and beyond anything else! They both are a very special gift that I was given and my world evolves around them. As my daughter starts her first year of high school I am also faced with my son graduating high school this year. OMG my babies are growing up....holy crap!!
It's been stated earlier on my page, BUT it does require repeating....**~Even though I live in PA now, I am 100% jersey...and damn proud of it!
What American accent do you have? Your Result: The Northeast
Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak.
