Hello everybody! I'm a guitarist from central Finland. Currently I'm finishing my studies at the Conservatory of Jyväskylä, playing in several groups, composing my own music and teaching in a local music school.
I'm very exited about all the ongoing and becoming music projects. Here's some words of the most active bands:
Lintu is making really unique and interesting pop music. Currently we are arranging and recording new songs and some of them will soon be heard on myspace as well. I have my own trio playing acoustic jazz music with Petri Jaakonaho on the bass and Touko Ruokolainen on the drums. The material consists mostly of standards and own compositions. Recently Tuomo Uusitalo has joined the group extending the trio as a quartet and we are mainly focusing on my own pieces. Jyväskylä Big Band presents all kinds of jazz music, from 1930's swing to contemporary Finnish big band music.
