About Me

Nicolas Rault aka Padma was born in 1976 in Paris, but moved to Switzerland only a few years later.
He was fourteen when he started to listen to electronic music and when he started deejaying ragga/reggea, techno and acidtrance.
Between 1992 and 1995 he discovers many different styles of music such as Psystrance as it starts to be played in Switzerland.
He also attends a few Electro-Tech-Acid parties that occur in the mountains, and that are, for some, organized by Cyberpunk (now Psyberpunk), the association that will book Hallucinogen, Solar quest and Zen Paradox at the Geneva’s Palladium in 1995.
In 1996, a year after he bought his first turntables Padma begins to organize his first parties with the help of a close friend. Parties occur in squats or in a house nicknamed the Utopia.
Later, Padma will start the association “l’Outil” (transl: the Tool) and welcome famous guests at the Utopia, the alternative spirit being kept though. People who are now the best Djs of the french-swiss and genevan scene make their first apperances and new talents are given a chance to perform for the first time.
In 2002, Mantra Tribe System is created at Baby Plage during Geneva’s Music Fest. MTS is an association based on a true quality of organization and respect and that doesn’t want to sell its soul to a system that will lead to a musical scene unfortunately already ruled by money : Djs and artist summon up their energy and each and everyone makes a contribution to organize free and underground parties.
Last years, Padma still mixes and composes, living the best of what he loves with the people he loves, playing every kind of electronic music, from Chill to his favorite kind of psytrance, the dark-psytrance.He was recently proud to be a Sonic Tantra label DJ.
.
He quite this world suddenly on the 31st of January 2008.
This Myspace page is dedicated to his memory and is administrated by his family at the Mantra Tribe System.
Beside this, a web-page will be created at the MTS web-site and a free web release is on the run.
