Progressive Dementia

About Me

So hey there. What are you into? Everything? We have some gigs, and find ourselves without a rhythm section. If you want to mix progressive rock, metal, country, world beat, pop and jazz, don't mind dirty / silly lyrics, and are available to perform in the NYC / Northern NJ area, lemme know!Also...everyone helps with the writing...no really. It's a very collaborative process, so all input is welcome! If you have always wanted to put a polka after the chorus, and the rest of the band thought you were a douche, we'll do it. And probably keep it.Please note, we do gig, rehearse and travel on occasion. We're stage addicts and fairly picky, so this takes time. It's not 24-7, but we are serious about our silliness. Thanks! The members of Progressive Dementia have progressive rock chops and a class clown mentality. Their performances are nuanced yet perverse, and can include symphonic complexity, metallic intensity, and the lead singer dressing up as a carrot all in the same song. They could play classical or jazz, yet they play…this.Lead singer Bryan Zeigler describes their work as “complicated songs about stupid things,” and though they do not take themselves seriously, they have an incredible passion for complex, yet accessible music with a sense of humor and very little conceptual restraint.
