------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------------------------Superfreak it..s a Miguel Meskita..s born and bred project, who since the late 80..s, with an 18 years dj..ing experience, is developing a language and an attitude of his own in the irreverent way he conducts his sets, going through various electronic styles conceived for dancefloors, in a logic of dialectic without prejudices. Superfreak serves the music for the music in a trip through the current tendencies in coherence with all time classics. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------ “I..m not very fond of the labels people usually put on the music either in what concerns to its style or gender. As a Dj I prefer to split them in those that suit the dance floor and those that do not; good or bad. If I think a theme fits the sequences I do, and if it is music for dancing to, it can be included in my sets. No style is tight because they are usually developing and feed each other. The idea of a musical style creates boundaries to creativity. I..m essentially concerned in exploiting new ways, but being always careful not to subvert the dj..s role as an entertainer. I try to understand the audience and to create a link with it, communicating and surprising them constantly. It..s much funnier for everybody. I like to work without a “net”, I only feel well this way, thence the Superfreak.”
