About Me

My apartment smells of rich mahogany and I have many leather bound books.

My Interests

True will and the Great Work. Music, art, literature, liberty, psychology, the Occult, love, sex, drugs, biology, animal rights, the ecology, politics, religeon, poetry, Numerology, baseball (New York Yankees), architecture, cultural diversity, military modeling (WWII), the paranormal and music, music, music.
Most of these things are just dalliances for me. I learn enough to entertain myself, enlighten myself or otherwise suit my purposes and move on to the next subject. Only music has my nearly undivided attention and, consequently, is the only thing I feel I'm TRULY qualified to talk about. I'll make a lot of noise about the other stuff, but music is what I really know. Through music I am able to make valuable statements about all the other things. Which Tarot Card are You?
You are Judgement. You understand that we must choose and choose wisely. You set the tone for all around you. You forgive and encourage others to confess and begin anew. You are Judgement, judge wisely and fairly, you provide salvation.

Music:

There are only two types of music: good or bad, that with soul or that without, honest or fake. Whichever adjectives you prefer to hang on it, in the end it boils down to the same thing. There is beauty and validity in every genre of music, it's really down to the artist and whether or not they are putting across something real. If you are a real music appreciator, then you will be open to anything and will have an informed opinion of what you like and dislike. It's a big mistake for someone to define music as "good" or "bad" according to his or her tastes. I also find it sad when people use music as an accessory to a contrived identity, like a pocket book or a hairstyle. People get locked into a little box that makes them easily definable and makes it difficult for them to appreciate or even perceive anything that doesn't conform to that narrow construct.

Movies:

I love movies. It's easier to list the directors I admire: Scorcese, Francis Ford Coppola, Woody Allen, Ken Russell, Clint Eastwood, Sergio Leone, Fellini, the Cohen brothers, the Farrelly brothers, Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Roman Polanski, Tim Burton, Rob Zombie, Mel Brooks etc., etc., etc.)

Television:

Television is the worst kind of mind-rot drug. When I do indulge I like the Simpsons, nature shows and shit about serial killers or WWII. Actually, I'm the worst TV junkie, so I had to make a clean break.

Books:

Tolkien, Milan Kundera, T.C. Boyle, Kalihl Gabrain, Tom Robbins, the Gunslinger series by Stephen King, Aleister Crowley, H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allen Poe, William Blake. Also, biographies and auto-biographies of junkie musician and artist types. I go through major spurts where I read voraciously for a few months and then nothing at all for a few more.

Heroes:

Iconoclasts. Jimmy, Jimi, Aleister, Elvis, Hermann, Ludwig Von, Gerald, Pablo, Frank, Carl, Charlie, Loona, Albert, Les, Albert, Alex, William S., John, the Dalai, Eagon, Che, Johnny, Clint, Theloneus, Jesus and just about anyone else who is willing to live on the edge or according to their own inner voice regardless of the odds.
