Add to My Profile | More VideosThe Bloody Bean Coalition (BBCo.) is a collection of friends, family, and musicians representing the heart of Boston and the best hip-hop New England has to offer. With a team that goes as deep as its own history, the Coalition is preparing to set the city ablaze with its original and powerful music. Every member of the team has been both fans and artists of rap since their early teenage years while growing up in various urban environments, bringing a knowledge and authenticity comparable to very few. Repping Dorchetser (Codman Square) and Mattapan, SC and OD led the way and formed the duo of The Gemini while attending high school together in the mid-90's. Throughout the years, The Gemini would record a plethora of tracks which led to street mixtapes such as "2 Questions, 2 Answers", "Alpha-Zeta", and the hit party single and video "Spread Out". The Gemini have now developed into the epitome of street-saviness and super-lyricism. Keeping it in the family and coming up right along with The Gemini was the other duo comprised of OD's younger brother and cousin Juan Diablo and Manifest, a.k.a. The Allies. With their fresh and incredibly deadly style, The Allies are definitely not a group to be played around with. In the early new millenium, fresh out of a stint in the UK came Kerosene as the newest recruit. Kerosene would go on to run the hip-hop show "88.9@Night" at the top college station in the country 88.9, WERS. This would help to increase the exposure for the Co. and build many valuable connec's. It was only a matter of time before former Gemini classmates Prophecy (also repping Monsta Music) and Keys would officially become members of the Co. With Prophecy's intensity and straight-to-the-point tracks and Keys undeniable wordplay, things were starting to get very serious. Rounded out by R&B singer Shantel, Allies affiliate emcee Ben Greed, another family relative producer, Nemesis (who extends the Coalition all the way down the coast to Orlando with his team 4D6 Entertainment), and countless soldiers on the street, the Coalition is just now reaching full-force. A strong point in the click lies in the versatility of it's members; Juan Diablo and OD not only craft the in-house production sound but also effortlessly handle rashing on any track they rap on. Apart from not only managing the Coalition, Kerosene can also be found both behind the boards and spitting heat. Throughout the past few years consistent radio play, various shows, and a strong street presence lead the Co. to beginning their takeover. The recent posse cut hit "Beantown Shit" (a Boston-version remix to Busta Rhymes "NY Shit") has sparked the fuse in new fans eager ears by being heard repeatedly on Jam'N 94.5, 97.7 WILD, and 88.9 WERS in addition to nightclub dancefloors around the Bean. Prophecy's WMS-produced Boston-anthem "Three's Up" has been banging hard around the city for the past year now on mixtapes, radio stations, and clubs. The term "movement" is loosely thrown around in hip-hop, but the Bloody Bean Coalition definitely embodies a new movement that can be embraced by New England. The recent infectious hits are just the beginning of the Beantown pride that the Coalition is about to offer the market. Also armed with their own unique slang and clothing designs, the BBCo. brand is ready. In 2007, watch out for Bloody Bean Coalition ripping more and more stages at live shows (keep posted on the concert calendar) (BBCo. has already blessed stages at various venues including The Middle East, The Crypt, The Milky Way, Paradise, Russell Hoyt Field, Mirage, Linwood Bar & Grill, McGann's, and many more), appearances on "Spotlight DVD", "Bloody Bean DVD", "Lymelight DVD", "Real Talk Boston DVD", and "Welcome to Beantown" documentary DVD, interviews and profiles on websites such as "RepDaBean.com" and "Bostonrap.com", more radio and club spins, collaborations with artists and producers such as Loose Notes, Letia Larok, A.Rod, Riz Advocate of 211 Gang, Usual Suspeckts, Iroq & Jon Doe, Devamps, Survival U., Raf Moses, Certified G'z, Ashy Knucks, Jake the Snake and many more, and plenty of product. BBCo. is also featured on DJ Illegal's and DJ Lump's new "Mass Destruction 3" mixtape hosted by A.Garcia with the track "Grand Theft Boston". Upcoming projects/CD's/mixtapes include not only the beginning of the Bloody Bean Coalition series ("6ET 1N 7OUCH, VOL.1" coming in JUNE 2007!), but also The Gemini "The Monopoly" CD, The Allies "Remember the Name" CD, the "Ladies Edition" CD, Prophecy's "State of Emergency" mixtape and album, Keys "Through the Basement Window" mixtape, Shantel's "The Pain, The Tears, The Love" mixtape and album, and many more. It's the Bloody Bean Coalition... we don't holla no more, we 6ET 1N 7OUCH! That's about it!
