My BioI was born in the Philippine Islands. My mom cast me down the 7,700-mile coastline in a coconut shell, and I was picked up by a princess of Egypt, who raised me as her own, to become heir apparent to Pharoah's throne. But once I learned of my true heritage, and the fine products that come from the Philippines, I knew my ultimate destiny was to lead my people from slavery, and discover new things to make out of wicker.
Somewhere along the way back to the homeland, I got a bit sidetracked. In an unauthorized biography published in 1997, this was blamed on a woman. But if I remember right, it was always other things that were sidetracking me from women - namely, a generally soft-spoken and shy nature, and a deep insecurity stemming from embarassment at the shape of my left big toe.
Upon getting comfortably settled in the US, I took a job abridging popular and classic novels for Reader's Digest. I consider my greatest work to be the abridged version of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, which I reduced down to a three-page pamphlet.
Unlike many of my ilk, I am not inclined to buy a $10,000 car and pimp it with $20,000 worth of aftermarket parts. But in fact I do a similar thing with guitars, pedals, and amps. To each his own.
My philosophy is generally one of Just shut up and let me do this my way, although I must admit that this tends not to work when someone else is holding a gun.
Or worse, a paycheck.
