About Me

CLICK MY VIDEOS LINK BY MY PHOTOS LINK (RIGHT UNDER MY MAIN PHOTO) I have videos of me fighting and playing guitar here. I also have audio clips of me playing music I wrote if you click the blue links under my general section to hear them.
.. Status Icons------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------I HAVE BEEN A MUSICIAN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I wrote my first song when I was 7 on a cheesy keyboard. Now I've written about 200 songs..I have 3 CD's out. I sing, play Harmonica, guitar, piano, and a little violin. In school, I was in honors Choir, and I was voted Best musician in my high school yearbook.--------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------I AM ALSO A MARTIAL ARTIST. I was forced by my dad to learn jiujitsu in the 80's. I hated it, I really wasnt that interested in fighting. I paid more attention to nintendo and classical music I learned on my piano. I didn't like the lessons. It was like when a parent makes their kid learn piano or violin or another language and the kid doesn't want to do it. But then in 1993 I saw Royce Gracie whoopin' asses with jiujitsu in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) and I thought "wow the style I've been learning really works!!" So I got really interested in jiu-jitsu after that. I also picked up boxing and kickboxing, Judo, muay thai and wrestling to become a more rounded fighter. It's best to be good at stand up fighting AND rolling around on the ground these days.------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------MY OTHER INTERESTS ARE VIDEOGAMES. I've beaten hundreds of games since I first beat the original Super Mario Brothers for Nintendo when I was in 2nd grade. Now I play mostly fighting games (who woulda guessed?) but I like first person shooting games also. I've beaten every medal of honor, Metal Gear, syphon filter, and Grand theft auto for the Playstations. I don't believe in using cheats and codes. Also I compete in fighting games in tournaments and got high ranks for Super Street Fighter 2 tournament in the 90s and more recently, I made it to the finals in a tournament for Fight Night Round 3.---------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------I ENJOY LEARNING: I believe being well rounded in life is important. I see way too many super strong guys who are idiots, and conversely, I see a lot of really smart guys who are out of shape, fat, or really skinny and very weak. I believe true power comes from having intelligence, as well as physical prowess. So I love reading lots of books and learning things. I have competed in various trivia contests much like jeopardy, and I love to play chess. (I am rated about 950 by the pandolfini chess school.)---------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------I ALSO THINK SPIRITUALITY PLAYS AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN LIFE. I'm not talking necessarily about religion, but that is some people's path, and that's fine. All Roads lead to Spiritual Evolution...I dont believe in right and wrong religions. I follow closely with darwinism, believing humanity is contantly evolving. We came from Apes...eventually evolved to being human, but what are we evolving to next? Also I'm so sick of this battle between Creationists (religions) VS Evolutionists (science.) I believe both are right. Is it so hard to believe God created evolution? Makes sense to me...MY MIXED MARTIAL ARTS REPORT CARD:

I enjoy testing my ability to write music in every genre...country music continues to be the hardest to write because I don't listen to it except for the dixie chicks a little. I also like to memorize lyrics to songs, particularly rap songs because theyre fun to sing. I like going to concerts, but I don't like being in them yet. I like shooting a bow and arrow, and shooting my pellet gun at targets, going to parties, I also like working because I like to meet all kinds of new reasons. I don't watch much tv because I enjoy using my imagination instead, but I like watching the discovery channel and learning things like science stuff and watching jeaopardy. I like to lift weights and drilling techniques for fighting, not just fighting itself all the time. Oh and I like beating up black belts in karate when they think they are all big and bad. I like watching white belts in jiu-jitsu beat up black belts in karate and crappy martial arts because Jiu-jitsu is better and more effective 90% of the time (at least it used to be before the advent of MMA.)I like fishing, and camping, and I'm sure I'd like swimming if I could actually do it without doggie paddling. I like inventing jokes and sayings (like this one I wrote: "Q: What do you call it when you punch an obese guy in the belly? A: Hurting his feelings"...get it..most obese people eat when they are depressed..eat their sadness... nevermind) Anyway, I'm a fighter, and musician. brazilian jiu-jitsu UFC style, but amateur. I practice MMA which stands for Mixed Martial Arts. MMA fighters are divided into strikers and grapplers usually. Strikers include boxers, kickboxers, karate, kung-fu muay thai, and people who generally punch, kick, elbow and knee their way to victory, via knockout or doctor stoppage because of the blood. Grapplers are wrestlers, submission fighters and jiu-jitsu guys who prefer to take the striker down to the ground where his fancy punches and kicks are useless. Some grapplers strike -usually only punch- and only after they tackle the opponent to the ground. This is called "ground and pound." Other grapplers prefer to breaks their arms, or legs by snapping the joint in a direction it isnt supposed to go, or choke the opponent unconscious for a win by TAPOUT, or they passout or break a bone. I train both striking and grappling, so I can be as well rounded as possible. For striking, I think karate and kung-fu for the most part are crap. The irony is that they are the most popular. The movements in these martial arts aren't effective because they use silly stances and cause the fighter to be off balance. For my striking, I rely on boxing (focuses on punching,) kickboxing and tae kwon do (focuses on kicking,) and muay thai (focuses on clinching, knees and elbows.) For my grappling I have learned wrestling and judo (for taking the opponent to the ground,) submission fighting, Sambo, and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (for positioning on the ground and being able to submit the opponent by breaking his arm, leg or choke him from almost any position.) Also, I have videos of me fighting and playing guitar on www.putfile.com/tapoutwrestler
