About Me

Dj Smooth was born on the 04.06.1984 in Plovdiv,Bulgaria.In the middle of the nineties he gets fascinated by elctronic music, which is stil his passion. Big parties with Jeff Mills and Josh Wink excite him about djing and he makes his first tries playing techno in Plovdiv and around.Along with the forming of an underground culture in Bulgaria and the parties organized by the Z-Dimension promoting & release joint influence his musical interest to minimal house,elektro, dub and experimental electronic anything from Thievery Corporation and Amon Tobin and to Anthony RÃ¶ther, which reflects on his musical output. Tresor and Basic channel Tapes awaken his interest for Berlin , where he moves to in 2002.Working as a Barkeeper in one of the most famous after hour locations in Berlin - Delicious Doughnuts, he gets behind the decks there as a resident Dj in 2006.Since October 2007 Resident in Red Rocket Berlin.
