The New Law creates ever-evolving sound-scaping beats that infuse elements of all styles of music. With influences from jazz, electronic, funk, hip hop and even classic rock, there are no limits when it comes to the unique all-encompassing instrumental sound this duo has created. Their music is created for a large sound system, but can be equally enjoyed on a small home stereo.
The New Law consists of two members: Adam Straney (Senator Adam) and Justin (Justice) Neff. Senator Adam began his musical career playing guitar, bass guitar, and drums while growing up. In college, he discovered a new love for Drum 'n' Bass music, which soon led to DJing and producing. The Justice has played the piano and saxophone in jazz and funk bands for more than half his life. The two came to meet while working at a movie theater to pay for the necessities of life (beer and gear). The Senator had his own production studio, so he and the Justice joined forces to see what could become of their shared musical interests and backgrounds. The result was the deep, hypnotic, trip hop and downtempo music (along with some dangerously epic anthems) that have taken the electronic scene by storm and stolen the hearts of music fans all over the world. The New Law has created a style of music anyone would drink to- and they look forward to joining you.

Meanwhile, I am ashamed to say I have slept on The New Law. The Seattle duo comprises Adam Straney, aka Senator Adam, and Justin Neff, aka Justice, who defy description as they stir up the nastiest hybrid soundscapes I've heard in a distant minute. Call it trip-hop if you need to, but I heard one song that sounds like the unholy sonic offspring of Gibby Haines, Andrew Eldritch, Herby Hancock and Ventian Snares' Aaron Funk. Seriously. Tracks like "Deconstructed Funk" and "Bad Weather Beach" are downright spooky. Six thumbs up for a beautiful balance of dirt and space.

texturra album review -
"The New Law's affinity for the Old West is borne out by the album artwork, of course, but it also emerges in a number of tracks. “Fa Lude Oh!†sounds like The New Law jamming with Ennio Morricone at Sergio Leone's ranch while bongos and guiros help situate “Banshee on Valium†in a dusty Dodge saloon. The New Law definitely rewards your time. "
