About Me

Generation Letter started when Sovereign Grace producer/songwriter Steve Cook, also president of Underground Grace Records, approached frontman George Romanacce to start a band under his recording label. Over the next few weeks over many conversations, George was aware of the Lord's timing and leading to walk this road. George previously had the desire and vision to lead a band that would glorify the Saviour in many ways. As their conversations progressed, there was clear view that their visions and ideas were aligning well. The next step was to find band members who would share in the vision and desire of glorifying God with their music, to teach what they know as biblical theology on worship, and to provide lyrics that furthered the gospel along with different, thought provoking, and exciting music. Over prayer, and time the group came to consist of 5 band members who share the same vision. This includes George Romanacce, Alex Couch, Stephen Morgan, Joey Phillips and John Ripley. The result musically is a blend of melodic, indie, alternative rock coupled with passionate vocals and harmonious guitar riffs that brings a fresh angle to Christian music. At the present time Generation Letter has been working hard on their repertoire of songs, a few of which are on their upcoming EP. They went as a band to Atlanta in November of '07 to record with Matt Goldman and Jeremy Griffith at Glow in the Dark Studios. The band is looking at the EP as the first of many projects. They are excited about the future to see what the Lord has in store for them and for all they encounter as they look to tour nationally.
