Heroes:

So what defines a hero? It's been a great debate. Through the ages our cocept and even our very perception of heros has changed, even evolved if you will. In the start we needed unreal heros. Super people. not even people. men. In the beginning they were always men. They had super strength, but they had no senses other then right and wrong. They were put on the earth to destroy evil. There was no grey area. There is always grey. Nothing is ever truly and purely evil. I think there is good in all of us. The heros through the ages have constantly been evolving through. From Hercules to Joan of Arc and then to our tragic heros who were not perfect. They had their flaws. And maybe that makes them more human. But do their flaws make them even more perfect? Modern heros are not really heros today at all now. it's very rare now to find a pure hero that is truly good. The Incredibles seemed to cheesy and fake to be real, but they weren't real at all, they were imaginary. True to life heros, heros of this reality are all anti-heros now. They do not do good deeds. In fact some of the people we see as heros as not heros at all. Look at the movies of today, we cannot help but love the assholes that go around and kick ass all for the sake of our entertainment. They are scum, but in the long run, they are good at heart. Take Johnny, yes you know him, that homocidal maniac everyone loves. He goes around killing everyone. But he has his purpose and he protects poor little Squee. He is in fact the villian, but we love him. so to ask someone who or what their hero is, it's a much deeper question then one would originally think. But if you're seriously still reading this, then start laughing, because this was a huge waste of your time. You can't really put any stock into what someone posts on my space now can you. You've wasted your time. (btw, my hero is batman)
