About Me

Alright, it's time for an update.
2006 was all about figuring out who I really am, being brave, being adventurous, trying new things, meeting new people... and perhaps being just a little bit stupid... but above all 2006 was about staying single. In fact I was altogether avoidant of a serious relationship of any kind.
But then 2006 came to an end, and on New Years 2007 I was falling in love, and I didn't even know it.
For those who don't know, James and I have been together since the beginning of the year, and I'm not sure i've ever been so happy with anyone like this before.
... And that's all you need to know.
TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF - The Survey
Name: If you don't already know then too bad.
Birthday: September 5, 1984.
Birthplace: Huntington Hospital.
Current Location: Livin' - Holtsville... Workin' - Hauppauge.
Eye Color: Deep, Dark Brown.
Hair Color: Brunette.
Height: 5'8".
Right Handed or Left Handed: Righty.
Your Heritage: Northern Italian & Sicilian mix... So Italian technically, but who knows what's mixed the Sicilian half. My last name is actually of French origins.
The Shoes You Wore Today: Those damn pointy toed, black, kitten heels again... and when I got home from work I threw on my chucks.
Your Weakness: They haven't really changed, but some have been added - Ravin', Rollin', Amazon Cafe' Smoothies.
Your Fears: Rejection, failure, and disappointing those I love.
Your Perfect Pizza: Grandma style, not too much sauce, cooked til' the cheese is nice and toasty golden brown.
Goal You Would Like To Achieve This Year: Gain as much knowledge as I possibly can.
Your Most Overused Phrase On an instant messenger: I'm not on instant messenger all that much.
Thoughts First Waking Up: Where the hell is that damn snooze button on this thing?
Your Best Physical Feature: You tell me.
Your Bedtime: Never earlier than 10pm and usually never later than 2am.
Your Most Missed Memory: I'm not very fond of the past - I'm more concerned with right now.
Pepsi or Coke: I don't care as long as it's diet.
MacDonalds or Burger King: Burger King blows. Mickey Dee's is better. Taco Bell kicks both their asses.
Single or Group Dates: While I do enjoy a one on one date with my sweetie, group dates appeal to my inner social butterfly.
Lipton Ice Tea or Nestea: Nestea's got it all over Lipton
Chocolate or Vanilla: If it's cake: Chocolate - If it's icecream: Vanilla
Cappuccino or Coffee: Meh... Neither. I prefer energy drinks... Lately i'm all about sugar free Full Throttle; kinda tastes like Mountain Dew.
Do you Smoke: Smoke what exactly?... I usually always have a pack of cigarettes on me, but I rarely smoke them.
Do you Swear: I'll bet I can make your ears bleed.
Do you Sing: Sure. Usually in the car or along with whatever we happen to be listening to at the office.
Do you Shower Daily: Sometimes twice.
Have you Been in Love: I'm in love right now.
Do you want to go to College: I would like to go back... again...
Do you want to get Married: Eventually, but i'm in no rush, whatsoever.
Do you belive in yourself: About 95% of the time.
Do you get Motion Sickness: Only if I try to read while traveling in a moving vehicle... or after one too many roller-coasters.
Do you think you are Attractive: It's really for someone else to decide, but I think I meet the standard of 'beauty' put in place by today's society... For the most part.
Are you a Health Freak: I try my best to keep myself in decent physical shape, but aside from that? Hell no.
Do you get along with your Parents: My mother and I do our best, but more often than not we're at each other's throats... mostly due to the fact she's overwhelmingly overbearing.
Do you like Thunderstorms: They still turn me on... and I still don't know why.
Do you play an Instrument: I own an instrument, and I can play it... but not skillfully.
In the past month have you Drank Alcohol: I'm sipping on a glass of red wine right now. Seriously.
In the past month have you Smoked: I'm going to assume we're not talking about cigarettes this time... Either way... Yes.
In the past month have you been on Drugs: MmmmHmmmm.
In the past month have you gone on a Date: Yes, actually. My sweetie treated me to dinner last week.
In the past month have you gone to a Mall: Much to my displeasure.
In the past month have you eaten a box of Oreos: Oreo cookies rock... but i'll never be able to bring myself to consume a whole package. A pint of Ben n' Jerry's is a different story however.
In the past month have you eaten Sushi: I had an assortment of Sashimi for (don't laugh) breakfast last week.
In the past month have you been on Stage: Not that I can recall.
In the past month have you been Dumped: Can't say that I have.
In the past month have you gone Skinny Dipping: I've never been skinny dipping... but I would do it if the opportunity presented itself.
In the past month have you Stolen Anything: No, I haven't had a case of sticky fingers lately.
Ever been Drunk: I can't even read this question and keep a straight face so what do you think?
Ever been called a Tease: Fuck baseball - teasing is the real great american pass time.
Ever been Beaten up: I've been roughed around, but never beaten up... and I'd prefer to keep it that way.
Ever Shoplifted: I have.
How do you want to Die: Trick question.
What do you want to be when you Grow Up: Too late.
What country would you most like to Visit: I'd love to travel all across Europe... Definitely hit Ibiza & Amsterdam. Revisiting the Carribean would be wonderful, too.
In a Boy/Girl..
Favourite Eye Color: Blue eyes.
Favourite Hair Color: No real preference.
Short or Long Hair: Boys: Short, but not too close cut - Girls: Doesn't matter.
Height: Call me old fashioned, but I like the guy to be taller - preferably 6' or more. Girls, however, I prefer to be shorter.
Weight: I work really hard to take care of my body so I appreciate people who do the same, but i'm not so shallow that I would ever snob someone based on their weight.
Best Clothing Style: Casual.
Number of Drugs I have taken: Enough.
Number of CDs I own: These days, a better question would be number of mp3's, don't you think?
Number of Piercings: One set in the ears... that's still it... and that's still all.
Number of Tattoos: None. I used to want one, but the older I get, the more I realize that my tastes are so forever changing, and what seems like a good idea today, will certainly not seem like a good idea in ten years.
Number of things in my Past I Regret: I realized that every past regret led to a lesson for the future... and that almost makes them all worth it.

My Interests

Myself, my boyfriend, my friends, my family, my job. The rave subculture in general...
I was introduced to the rave scene in mid 2006 and I haven't looked back since.
I love every aspect of the rave subculture - The music, the people, the dancing, the energy, the vibe, the originality... and so much more that cannot be expressed in simplistic terms.
The rave scene is particularly special to me because I fell in love with it on my own terms, and in my own way... for myself, and no one else... not for a boy, not for a girl, not to impress or make anyone else happy but myself and myself alone.
Most of the parties I hit are in Brooklyn, and if you want a beat on some real good ones make sure to hit up RaversOnly.com... I'll see ya there.

I'd like to meet:

I love meeting new people who love meeting new people. A great perk of the rave scene...
It will probably take me a time or two to get your name right though, lol.

Music:

I love all kinds of music; All genres and all styles. I especially appreciate musicians and groups who mix sounds and styles; Eclectic is key.
My love for such a broad spectrum of music has never allowed me to really find a niche in any one particular musician, group, or band, but some list toppers are: Dave Matthews Band, O.A.R., 311, Blue October.
As a Raver, EDM has a special place in my heart. I especially love all variations of trance. If it's not trance, then i'll bounce back and fourth between darker, and more intense hardstyle or hardcore and the more lighthearted and euphoric happy-hardcore.

Movies:

I *heart* movies. Seriously, how can anyone not love movies?... I especially love shoot em' up, blow em' up action flicks... suspenseful thrillers with major plot twists... A drama that shakes the core of my very soul... A romance that can thaw the iciest of hearts... and comedies of all kinds... b/c a life without laughter is like day without sunlight.

Television:

I'm still not very much into television. House still tops the list, but half the time I don't remember to try and catch the new episodes... Family guy is pretty high up on my list, too - in all it's politically incorrect glory.

Books:

I don't read much these days, I'd like to, but I never seem to get around to it

Heroes:

My boyfriend saved my heart... My friends saved my sanity... and day after day, I still find myself trying to do everything within my power to continue being a hero for myself.
adopt your own virtual pet!
Penguins should be considered heroes... They're probably the coolest, most kickass, hardcore animals out there...
and this lil' guy right here is hella cool!
