Obsidian (NEW SONGS)

Progressive Death Metal band From The UK

About Me

"Grooves were delivered brutally, the powerful drums and bass rearranging my internal organs" Gloucester Guild hall Review! More at http://www.bbc.co.uk/gloucestershire/content/articles/2006/0 5/22/irritant_gig_feature.shtml In the early summer of 2004 Joe Ashwin and James Pearce with then vocalist Bill Davis Planned to start a new band after a previous project had come to its end. They hooked up with new drummer Sam Hill and guitarist Rob Clifford and Obsidian Mark 1 was born.Since then the line up has changed in that Bill Davis left and Joe is now lead vocals and guitars. Rob CLifford also left, and was replaced by Tom Skelton in JUne 2005.Obsidian have expiremented with many styles within rock and metal. They have settled on a dark progressive sound that enocompses many moods from sombre, beautiful acoustic passages to aggressive riff driven sections verging on death metal, and everything in between. This mix with individual influences has led to an intelligent and unique sound we also love to play.We have just recorded our newest Demo, a good example of the music Obsidian is now.BLACK RIVER: Live at the GuildHall Gloucester.. width="425" height="350" ..Mirror Mask: Live at the Queen Vic Stroud.. width="425" height="350" ..p
