Born December 15, 1982 C'Krit began writing music at or around age 10 or 11. "My uncle Reggie Moe would always write raps and let me hear them and shortly after I began to write rhymes of my own." One of the rappers who inspired C'Krit as a child was the late great Notorious B.I.G. At school C'Krit would always participate in anything that was music related such as freestyle battles and singing groups. She also participated in a few talent shows. "C'Krit Is the only name that descibes me because it means "Beyond Understanding" and most people don't understand me." During the duration of her journey to make it as a rapper, C'Krit has come into contact with many celebrities such as: Mase, The Field Mob, Wacko and Skip, Master P., Silkk the Shocker, Boyz in Da Hood, JT Money, Webbie, Lil Boosie, R. Kelly, Trick Daddy, B.G., Jacki-O, Yo Gotti and B.G. C'Krit has been featured on local mix tapes has peformed in numerous cities like Fernandina and St Augustine and Venues such as Metro Politan Park, Club Christophers, and more. She was nominated for a 2007 Duval Diamond Award for female lyricist of the year.
