About Me

Myspace Layouts
I got this layout from topbun

I write stuff. And change a grand haul of Pampers. And occasionally run around outside declaring unholy war on the yard-mushrooms, charging them, kicking them all to hell.

My book, LILAC, should be out and about sometime before Earth collides into the sun. I'm working on finding the right place for it now. (Universe, if you're listening, the right place is Random House for a warm or cool mil -- I'm not choosy on the temperature.)

Clarissa Herring, first friend on the list of crafty comrades, is the main character in LILAC. Drop on by and check out her goings on some time.

My Interests

Good movies, better books, writing, watching my little pappoose grow tall and mighty, getting halfway through one project and thinking of 25 more I need to start simultaneously, shooting electronics, coffee.

I'd like to meet:

People who are crazy, but not annoyingly so.

Music:

"Gun powder and lead" by Miranda Lambert.

Movies:

Dark Knight is artistically speaking the best I've ever had, 28 Days is my all-time favorite for sentimental reasons.

Television:

The Office. Also liked Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip for the seven minutes it was on air.

Books:

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold is artistically speaking the best, Charms for the Easy Life by Kaye Gibbons is my a very close second on the art side and my fave for sentimental reasons.

Heroes:

Diablo Cody, Susannah Grant, the two ladies mentioned in my book section above, and all women taking the story-telling bull by its horns and swanging it around like a yo-yo. And Viggo Mortensen, for doing those things he did in History of Violence.

Moments Inappropriate for Work

Hear ye, hear ye, unless there's something more life-loaded happening, say toast springing from the machine or a wraparound hangnail to be picked. No, I'll be brief this time since I was Miss Infinit...

Seriouser and seriouser

Provoked by the late and magnificent blogs of J and M, I'm recording a snatchet of a talk I've recently had with my own muse -- a talk that sort of encompasses the chaos I've been hostess to for the p...

Eisenhart is totally expendable.

A drawn-out and sheepish heeeeeey there to any one gracious enough to still read this after how long I've been off.  Off, she says, in more ways than one.  I'm going to briefly delineate my ...
