About Me
Frank Gravis is a bassist, originally from San Antonio, Texas, now living in New York City. He has made a career out of playing bass guitar since the mid '70s. In that time, he has played and/or toured with Herbie Mann, Chuck Mangione, David Sanborn, Hiram Bullock, Jack McDuff, Suzanne Vega, Rupert Holmes, Donna Summer, Dr. John, Otis Rush, Paul Butterfield, Bo Diddley, Jorge Dalto, Zhané, Toninho Horta, Patti Austin, Ray Barretto, Celia Cruz, Angelo Badalamenti, and many others. He has also played on countless television and radio commercials. He continues to play in and around New York, as well as teach at The Collective. Frank endorses Markbass amplifiers, ESP basses, and D'Addario strings.
