With roots in catchy aswell as extreme music, seeing Goto80 perform is like getting an 8-bit uppercut that tastes blood and candy. Who said that pop, grindcore and jazz couldn’t be mixed together using bleeps and vocals? In 2007 alone, he released 100 songs and made 50 gigs so he is not done with his experiments of crappy programming, glitchy soundchips and musical history.
Stu has earned his name “Don Atari electro†by years of crunchy beats for dance floors and low-tech music lovers worldwide. He became well-known due to his ways of tweaking the very limited soundchip of the Atari ST to a completely different level. Nobody can do what Stu does, using only a squarewave and a noise generator on three channels.
Computadora is Herr Galatran and Dr Drama with their intelligent happy computer. The sounds come from C64, Amiga & Atari XL/ST … the passion comes from extensive performing as part of various punk/ hardcore/IDM/electro-constellations through the years. At the moment the computer likes to mash up old 8-bit songs with the humans’ flavour for groovy glitches and squarewave party.
Role Model produces raw and groovy music with roots in detroit house and the demoscene. After making the popular music software LSDJ for Gameboy, running various clubs such as the monthly Microdisko in Stockholm and forming the Bleepstreet label he is generally seen as an important figure in the contemporary chipmusic scene. At the moment he is on a break from music composing and focuses on programming.
