Pictures from Mercredi 9 studio, Paris, with YVINEK aka Daniel Yvinec.
YVINEK is both artistic director and bass player on this new Blues & Cinema project GREG ZLAP & JOHAN DALGAARD started over a year ago.
YVINEK has a very curious and creative mind. He was immediatly seduced by the idea of space, of panoramic vision that could be developped from the combination of music and cinema. He thought about a very large, organic sound with the rough texture you can only find in deep blues. And he drove the recording sessions in this direction. Who's Gonna Take My Damn' Soul and Wedding Theme (Opening) you are listening to on this page have this quality of space and roughness...
YVINEK achieved a very demanding task of bringing different muscal worlds together into one statement, into one sound, into one story!

The road movie begins... (by Claire Sagnier)
The final touch is given by guitarist SEB MARTEL , the inventive companion of -M- , Camille or Bumcello !
Awesome arrangements were written by JOHAN DALGAARD , the most popular keyboard player of the French scene ( Benjamin Biolay , Piers Faccini , Jean-Louis Aubert ). The recording was brightly directed by the unpredictable YVINEK . The magic is there, let the road movie begin!
