The Song of the Month:
Album CD: FREE FROM ORDINARY
Song: #6 MADE
The Caleb Rowden Band is all about ministry at the highest level. “Our goal is to use music as the relevant “hook†and then share the timeless truth of God’s Word with one goal in mind and that is to point people to Christ. Our desire is to move pre-believers to cross the line of faith and to encourage others on their Christian journey.†Caleb is the Worship & Creative Arts Director at Christian Chapel in Columbia MO. In addition to leading worship on a weekly basis Caleb also fills the pulpit and other associate duties for a congregation of 600.
When asked about worship Caleb said,†The purpose of our existence is to worship. We were created to worship our Creator. Worship is not a genre of music or some commercial thing, but a lifestyle of passionate surrender to our King. Many have given in to the idea that worship is a song or words, when in fact it is so much more. We must be careful not to mix up what we do with who we are…we are called to worship…every second of every day. We were MADE to worship.â€
Caleb’s talent is gaining nationwide recognition with his latest radio single “MADE†charting at #12 on R&R with more than 3 million audience impressions each week and spinning #1 in major markets such as Dallas, Nashville and Portland. Caleb is moving quickly past the level of “up and comer†to an established singer songwriter that will be part of the Christian music industry for years to come.
Caleb's debut for Slanted Records, Free From Ordinary features powerful, energetic songs that encourage and inspire extraordinary faith and action in everyday life.

“Praise to God is the most unselfish act that a human being can perform, especially when they are experiencing various kinds of pain and upset. There is a sentence used in the Bible that describes the highest form of praise to God. It is an honor that was granted to the Levites and the Sons of Zadok (who were priests), and that honor was to “minister to the Lord.†To minister to the Lord means, “to bless God, to congratulate Him, to honor Him for who He is, His eternal covenant and to bring gifts to Him.†It’s all about giving to God, not receiving, and once this takes place, God always responds with blessings upon His people.†- Kim Clement

Music:
What is praise?
Smith Wigglesworth will answer this question:
"The new man created in Christ is God's masterpiece, His poem (Ephesians 2:10) set to music - a song. Singing and making melody in your heart unto the Lord. Praise is God's sunlight in the heart. It destroys sing germs. It ripens the fruits of the Spirit. It is the oil of gladness that lubricates life's activities. There can be no holy life without it. It keeps the heart pure and the eye clear.
Praise is essential to the knowledge of God and His will. The strength of life is the strength of its song. When the pressure is heavy that is the time to sing. Pressure is permitted to strengthen the attitude and spirit of praise. It takes a man to sing in the dark when the storm and battle are raging, and it is such singing that makes the man.
Hallelujah!
Movies:
What is worship?
A. W. Tozer will answer this question:
“In worship several elements may be distinguished, among them love, admiration, wonder and adoration. Though they may not be experienced in that order, a little thought will reveal those elements as being present wherever true worship is found. Both the Old and the New Testament teach that the essence of true worship is the love of God. “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.†Our Lord declared this to be the sum of the Law and the Prophets. Now, love is both a principle and an emotion; it is something both felt and willed. It is capable of almost infinite degrees. Love in the human heart may begin so modestly as to be hardly perceptible and go on to become a raging torrent that sweeps its possessor before it in total helplessness. Something like this must have been the experience of the apostle Paul, for he felt it necessary to explain to his critics that his apparent madness was actually the love of God ravishing his willing heart. It is quite impossible to worship God without loving Him. Scripture and reason agree to declare this. And God is never satisfied with anything less than all: “all thy heart . . . all thy soul . . . all thy might.†This may not at first be possible, but deeper experience with God will prepare us for it, and the inward operations of the Holy Spirit will enable us after a while to offer Him such a poured-out fullness of love.â€

Praise & Worship General Questions
Whom shall we worship & praise?
The Creator, God, or the Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ ONLY. See Exodus 20:3-5, Deuteronomy 5:7, Luke 19:37-40
Why should we worship God?
We worship God, because He is the best, High King over all the gods. See Psalms 95
What is praise?
Praise is nothing more than the outward expression of your inward faith.
What is worship?
Worship is nothing more than giving honor and respect to a superior being, in our case, God the Creator.
How would I know when I’m worshipping?
Just be genuine in your attitude of worship! God is looking for genuine people, giving their heart and soul, to Him freely in their expressions. See John 4:24.
Is there a different between praise & worship?
Praise and Worship are closely related but are not the same. Worship almost always is confused with praise. The bible about a sacrifice of praise; which is the “fruit of the lips,†that is found in Hebrews 13:15 and Jeremiah 33:11, but there is NO sacrifice of worship; which is the “fruit of the heart!†As you can see, they are different. These distinctive help us to communicate in worship.
When is the best time to praise & worship?
All the time – morning, noon, and night! There is never a time that you should not be praising the Lord, or worshipping Him. You can find this in Hebrews 13:15 and Psalm 34:1
What is the purpose of praise?
We were pre-wired that way by the Creator, God. He created and made these things for His good pleasure. In return we praise Him; that is found in Psalms 148, Psalms 150, Isaiah 38:18, and Psalms 115:17
Why Praise the Lord?
We are created and commanded to worship God. It helps with our relationship with Him. As we do so, we receive power to overcome life’s situations. You can find this in Psalms 150:1, Psalms 115:17, Jeremiah 13:11, Isaiah 43:21, and 1 Peter 2:9
Are children important in worship?
Yes, they are, but I stress the fact that in training children to worship God, it is the parent’s responsibility, and not the local church. Obviously, there is a plan for churches to take a more active role when parents are Non-Christian or non-responsive. God’s design is for the parents to lead children in the knowledge of Him, and the love of Him and Jesus.
What is worship like in heaven?
Every created being are worshipping God day and night. The four beast rest not in the worship. See Revelation 4:8 They praise God for creating them!
