I like Beer so bitter you'd curl up as a grey bellied-house cat, Rain in pine, a contemplative fly-fishing line, Snow in reddish-blonde hair and scotch of a malt solitare. I like pipe smoke in bar light, curling in wood grain knot, and knowing not how much longer we've got. I like floating on plains, a midnight swimming pool's chlorine blue steam, and Platte rivers muck cream, sandbars hissing around blackness fold. I charish the twighlight, pondering shokras resident in ass, I work too hard, and argue too much, and still look for that one that embodies home, I like my wandering Tact, can't tell lies from fact, but a good story makes every exception. I like watching Stars turn to sleet, pelt my face, chest, and feet; my weight has balance, on ground of crystal ice, I set a tripod for my telescope, to see light years with ease, My geek Hot Rod by @30below, 2:30 AM in the middle January, when the atmosphere is at its clearest. there on Hat Six Road I'll would be. Till overtaken by suburb comunitee that will undoubtibly hold title to the life it once claimed. Crooning memories of loves denial, sometimes I wonder how to tile coldsteal and mirror, to see between the clouds, if just for a little while, Not such a small place, I like. and for that I underate the light bulb fires that fence in the world. I like the right dance, a sensation of my arms in loss of her shape, I like breathing deeply the loss of her words, I like knowing. I like the still.
Mohomad Ali, Willy Nelson, Ira Glass, Sophia Loren, Tom Petty, Ken Burns-(check), Maya Angelou(check), Ann Rand, Andre' Prolgefski, (Check), any member of ACDC, the Stones, or Squirrel Nut Zippers, Ahh. . . and of course, You! but most of all I want to meet and the perfect stretch of Wyoming river bank on a summer afternoon with three cases of Polish Pilsner, my fly rod, and maybe some company that would appretiate it too.
Squirrel Nut Zippers is my favorite band in some time. I dig Bluegrass, conversational Jazz, swing, good ol time Trucker Country Music, Favorite radio shows always educate and suprise me. I miss the Breakfast with the Beatles, Dr. Demento show, Thistle'n Shamrock, and Red Rooster Lounge. Being a musician and failed composer myself, I am extremely open minded in hearing new things. Listen to mostly news and classical.
Last good one I enjoyed was "Good Night, and Good Luck" but there really are to many to mention.
I dont watch tv, Won a big screen in a poker game, and that makes my insatable appetite for thought provoking film even more zealous, but I still love a few great shows of the past. Rifleman, Star Trek, the Wizard, Dukes of Hazard, History channel, and the food channel.
I like to chew on brief sections of books for style, picking a favorite is like asking a painter to choose a color, I can not. The books I pick up the most often however are, The Dictionary, followed by the morning edition of NY Times, or Harper's, the Brewers Bible, National Geographic Magazine, then I guess any number of great spiritual books of the past 1500 years
