About Me

We sincerely try our best to comment each and every one of you,
but we are also very busy! So if we do not comment, we will eventually
get back to you! We occasionally miss comments and friend requests
so if we don't say anything back, bug us until we do because we LOVE
talking to you!
This A.M. Static is an eclectic indie rock band from Rochester, NY. Their unique musical style blends rock, pop, and electronic music with elements of orchestral, punk, and dance music to create a versatile sound.
This A.M. Static is influenced by a wide array of artists ranging from Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails to Justin Timberlake and David Bowie.
The band was formed in 2007 by James Moore and Jordan Bork, who met in a Doors tribute band. James later recruited Jon Waxmonsky on drums. Finally, Allen Vanderlinde joined on bass.
This A.M. Static is currently writing and recording songs for their debut EP, due out tentatively sometime in 2008.
Although the backing tracks are sequenced, all of them were recorded in real time by hand on a KORG TRITON STUDIO. Sequencing frees Yoro up to play any track in the sequence. Meaning he can play the bass, piano, or synths during the show, depending on mood. Also in his arsenal is a KORG KP3 digital effects processor, and a modded toy piano he created and dubbed "The Bent Wiener". It gets it's name from CIRCUIT BENDING, and the fact that it's a little $5 wiener of a piano.
James plays Ibanez guitars, a YAMAHA keyboard pretending to be an ondes martenot, and a MICROKORG Fed MIDI signals from Yoro's Triton. He also uses various effects pedals on his guitar and keys, and sometimes as instruments on their own. James has played bass, guitar, and keyboards for over 10 years and played bass in various original and cover bands in the Rochester area. He gave up the bass to play guitar and sing for This A.M. Static, because ANYONE CAN PLAY GUITAR.
Jon plays both electronic and acoustic drum sets, a sampler and a light meter-theremin fed through James' MICROKORG. He occasionally plays the MICROKORG and the KP3 as well, depending on where he is needed most.
Allen plays Fender basses through Ampeg amps. He also creates loops and samples using Fruity Loops. Allen has recorded over ten solo albums of electronic music before joining This A.M. Static. Allen also finds Cobalt Blue to be the most pleasing of the blue spectrum.
