About Me

PowerStrip was formed in late 2005 when Mike Scipioni, who had been playing guitar for a while, and James Battaglia, who had been playing bass for a while, decided it would be fun to play their instruments at the same time in the same room.
All PowerStrip music is recorded in the studio. The studio is also our practice space. It's also where we eat pizza and wings and watch frisky dingo. The studio is 4-20 friendly. That is how the song "Friga Doogah" was written. The studio is also called "Mike's Garage". Who said you need money to record music?

Influences: The Pixies, Nine Inch Nails, Bob Dylan, Beatles, John Lennon, RHCP, Coldplay, Modest Mouse
Sounds Like: If Bob Dylan had a dog and one day this dog married Kirk Hammett and they wrote a book together that Coldplay read aloud to Trent Reznor when he was a baby and then he got eaten by a camel who in turn hand crafted a guitar which was then played by a 4 year old girl who liked the Beatles - that would be what we sound like. EXACTLY like that.
