some of the things i like: people who are nice (simple enough wouldn't you think?), animals (dogs, cats, horses, wombats, ESPECIALLY wombats, and spiders and insects too :), organic foods (proud vegetarian for over 10 years), excercise (hiking, biking, yoga), travelling (the more exotic the better), and long philosophical discussions that end in smiles and warm fuzzy feelings :)
Ani DiFranco, Linda McCartney, and Madonna, old friends, new friends, people from school or people who share my interests... BUT... BIG CAVEAT HERE... if I don't already know you, you had BETTER SEND ME A MESSAGE with something interesting in it, or else I will delete you... there are too many losers out there looking to accumulate profiles, if that's you then please save your breath and leave me alone. But why do I even write this? No one ever reads it before they send me their lame invites & generic messages.
ani difranco, paul mccartney (needless to say then the beatles), peggy lee, sarah, fiona, natalie, tracy and sheryl, the doves, the shins, the stills, madonna, morcheeba, supreme beings of leisure, gorillaz... amongst many, many others that are quite common and that aren't necessary to mention... but anything political or challenging to current social situations always gets my attention.
hmmm... don't watch that many but my most recent favorite is probably sex and lucia and psychological thrillers like silence of the lamb or seven. Documentaries are always good, otherwise half-baked, the godfather, shawshank redemption, ferris bueller's day off, and the princess bride are all timeless classics.
i don't have a tv, but as far as classic comedy goes, i love the simpsons and the daily show.
the seat of the soul, reviving ophelia, jumping mouse, the alchemist, don't stand too close to a naked man, and lots of other educational non-fiction stuff
mother teresa, ghandi, martin luther king, ani difranco, anybody whose faith and morals are so strong that they dedicate their life to a purpose, and accomplish it with a smile. i love and have immense respect for people who overcome obstacles and the worst of their situations without resorting to violence or losing their nerve.
