"The teacher of the stars", title which has been given to her from the most known music schools in Greece, was born in New York City. The well-known newspaper "Variety" has named her "The voice", because of her great technical and vocal abilities. She did a career in USA, performing in Broadway shows and the best nightclubs in America, including Las Vegas where she was singing in a show with Ertha Kitt. After USA she did concerts all over Europe and some places in Asia showing her unique voice and her abilities as a show woman. The last years she is living in Greece, and she has created a very successful career on singing and TV. She has released 4 CDs and a CD single called "I'm in love" which became gold. She has also released a hip hop CD in Belgium. In these CDs she collaborated with great and famous artists like T. Mikroutsikos, D. Savopoulos, D. Papadimitriou, G. Dalaras. Julie has also collaborated with well known bands like: George Gakis and the Troublemakers, Blues Bug, Ilias Zaikos and the Blues Wire, The Groovemakers, Johnny Vavouras Band, Nick and the Backbone and many many more. Recently she performed with the famous Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis in a big concert that was held in Irodio Theater. She has also worked in the Greek theater with many well known actors like Sotiris Moustakas, Nikos Rizos, Stathis Psaltis, Tony Antony and others. Beside the singing career, Julie Massino created a special vocal technique called "Technical Voice Placement", which has been recognized from the biggest music college in Greece "Phillipos Nakas". The "Technical Voice Placement" method can be taught only from her and the three special trained teachers which she collaborates with (Ted Zografos, Fofie Russo, Gely Stamatopoulou). During the last 15 years Julie has taught her singing method and coached the biggest stars (singers and actors) in the Greek show business. Alexia, Despina Vandi, Sakis Rouvas, Antonis Remos, Takis Zaharatos, Natasa Theodoridou, Kosta Martakis and many many more! Julie was the first teacher in Greece who taught vocal lessons in a TV show. The show was "FAME STORY" and became the most successful show in the Greek TV. FAME STORY 2, 3 and 4 followed and Julie became the biggest Vocal Teacher ever in Greece. In 2003, Julie and her team with Antena Group, created the first Vocal Art School in Greece, called "Fame Studio". For the next 3 years more than 300 students enrolled in the school to learn the art of singing with Julie's method and guidance. In 2006 Julie collaborated with the biggest educational trade school in Greece (IEK AKMH) and the only one that gives IEK government Professional Singer diplomas. The school is called "Vocal Art Academy by Julie Massino". Julie Massino is one of the most loved TV celebrities in Greece and she has become the face of the advertisement campaign for the "MAT FASHION" clothes company (4 years, 5 catalogs) and for the "Applebee's" restaurants in Greece. Julie has created a vocal package, which includes a 132 pages Book / 2 exercise CDs and 2 DVDs with her method and it has been published by a major music publication company called "Fagotto Books".
