About Me

Louis(e) de Ville got the urge to twirl tassels and moustaches by observing the tail twitching antics of her family's cows on the farm in good ol' KY, USA. Now a faux Française she scandalizes stages across Europe, performing regularly as a femme, king, and everything in between. She sees gender as performance and plays with stereotypes; both honoring and twisting traditional femininity as well as exploring her masculine side and all aspects of her sexuality. A traditionally trained actress and gender activist, she embraced burlesque as her preferred medium, when she understood that people pay much more attention to you when you are in your underwear! Je suis une performeuse de burlesque. J'ai realisé que les gens m'ecoutent mieux quand je partage la message en culottes. J'aime jouer avec les stéreotypes feminine, et je fais les personnages sur tous le spectrum de genre: cowboy, hip hop pédé, femme au barbe, femme au foyer, petite suceuse, ect. J'adore jouer les ambiguïtes.
