A day trip to a creek
It’s always thrilling to experience the moment a painting takes on a life of its own by simply adding one more stroke .Or when a simple sketch that you do becomes a masterpiece in someone else’s eyes. I feel I've been blessed with a special gift and it's incredibly satisfying to know that I can use my talent to bring joy into the lives of others .Art can be very ritualistic to me and inspire a spiritual experience that couldn’t be put into words. The shadows of several artists lurk in my paintings and designs. My inspiration is drawn from the art of the great masters, such as Michelangelo, DaVinci and MC Escher with a dash of Dali. Michelangelo said the greater danger is not that our hopes are too high and we fail to reach them; it's that they're too low and we do. I am always striving to bring innovation and inspiration to the minds of the observing eyes that study my works. I seek grace and flow of line, harmony and elegance of color, balance and complexity of composition. When I step inside the space I am creating on canvas, I want the viewer to take the journey with me - to experience the clairvoyant quality of the moment. I want to express on canvas the paradox between reality and dream, embracing the mystery of the unknown. I believe that a painting is not just an illusion in two dimension, but also that of a moment in my life.I expresses what cannot be easily seen. The lines and textures of our dreams and the fanciful worlds that I hold within my soul.
