Bossa Nova

About Me

The band Trumbuku is new voice on the Bossa Nova scene. Through exploration of the lesser known songs by the composers Antonio Carlos Jobim, Egberto Gismonti, Catetano Veloso, Elis Regina, Ivan Lins and others, the band has created a new sound that is fresh and inspiring. Trumbuku was founded in the summer of 2006 by Rui Da Silva Guitar (Lisboa, Portugal) and Arne Bock trumpet and flygelhorn (Ribe, Denmark). All the musicians have a strong background in jazz and modern improvised music. It is their shared love and passion for jazz and Brazillian music that bring them together in this unique celebration of the Bossa Nova. Trumbuku is Eva Folch voice (Barcelona, Spain), Rafael Morales electric bass, (Garlicia, Spain), Thorsten Grau drums/percussion (Waiblingen, Germany).
