I'd like to meet:
Women who dont see me as a threat. Men who value decency, charity, compassion, spontaneity, and know how to fix things. Voters not swayed by slick mouths and sound bites. Consumers willing to be citizens. Toni Morrison, James Baldwin, Sharon Olds. Anybody with a plan to save what we have left.
Music:
Is listing favorite music possible? I cant assume Ive heard it all...I am newly amorous of big band stuff. I dig funkysht, old soul and most of the '60s-70's-80's..., early 90's R&B, when rap was an angryass teenager who still new a good time, jazz and the ladies, that Kenny Rogers 8-track and the old Waylon album, live music from bands that jam and cant help it, make me cut up and not care who's watching - yeah, that's what i like.
Movies:
once they're over i cant remember what happened...I liked Pan's Labyrinth. And make sure you see Supersize Me, Idiocracy, A Day Without A Mexican. Michael Clayton was good (sexy-ass George). Apparently Vigo is a naked Russian mobster in one, i'll have to check that out.
Television:
is detrimental by form. they're can be no "good" TV. by it's nature it forces us to be secluded, subdued, trained to the quick-fix, and twitching for instant gratification... but i couldnt sell the TV...so I watch the Wheel and Jeopardy, Two & 1/2 Men is funny, Real Time with Bill Maher is my news program. And Yes, Idol; religiously.
Books:
Read The Omnivore's Dilemma
