Uploaded by drmikey95 A star was born on February 27, 1978 in Paris France, raised in the French Ghetto in the north of Paris (Garges-Les-Gonesse/Sarcelles). He is a mixture like no other: Mother from Guadeloupe (Little island in the West-Indies), Father from French Guiana (French colony in South America). He speaks fluently French, Creole and English. Music didn’t start off being Dr Mikey’s first love: it was basketball. At age of 14 he had a tragic accident that left him with 2 broken hips. Left in a wheel chair fighting to walk He was shipped off to French Guiana with his father for warmer climate in the jungle of St Laurent du maroni (French Guiana) where he found his love for music.He decided to become the first French Rapper/Singer/Toaster artist to cross the universal barriers between music and languages. In 1996 he created the Da Maniac Reggae group where he was the only rapper. They toured the West Indies and South America. In 1997 he was forced to return to France upset about having to leave his group. He formed another group Instinct 2 Scarla where he began sing. They toured around Europe’s local clubs but Dr Mikey wasn’t satisfied. In 1998 he began his solo career as a writer/singer/rapper in search for more. In January 2000 he set off for the USA when he hit L.A he didn’t speak one word of English. He was invited to perform in the Watts Summer Festival, Jamaican independents day picnic, Key Club, Rio Brazilian Soul Samba Salsa show. He took the first place at the Hollywood showcase awards. After performing around the town it was time to get in studio and make a demo. In 2001 he hooked up with Louisianan rapper Bale and formed the group True to life Playerz. In 2002 they performed around California making it down to San Francisco Cow palace where they opened up for Juvenile. Trick Daddy, E-40 and Blu Cantrell. In 2003 Dr Mikey Began traveling back and forth to Europe, the West Indies and French Guiana to met up with his group Da Maniac for the reunion tour. The rest of Da Maniac is about to drop their first album in Europe. In 2004 Dr Mikey is back in the states and in the studio ready to make his dream come true.In 2005 Dr Mikey Won 1st place at the Showcase Hosted By Chipmunk (100.3 The Beat) and Star Struck Entertainment In 2006 Dr Mikey Flight Back In forth to Florida Where He was invited to perform For FAMU Homecoming, The Haitian House. Did The 1st Part of the Haitian Group Nu Vice. Back To studio where he worked on The Mix-tape Burning Star With a few Member Of The Parliament Funkadelick of George Clinton. June 2006 Performance at the Real men cook Festival a front of 3000 People With his Dances June 200 7 Capleton Jah Thunder Moses I First Part
