Listen to a lot of different styles of music. All kinds of cool music. Just searching for more music that has something to offer my ears and my heart. Love guitar instrumentals. Jamming music that gives me goose bumps. Will listen to anything once. Always like jamming hardcore. Joe Satriani and lot's of guitar shredder's. Racer X, Steeler, Cacophony and shredder music. Lately, more classical, like Mozart and Beethoven. Disco, new wave, psychedelic rock, repetitive rock music, hard acid rock blues ( Frank Marino, Montrose, Robin Trower, Edgar Winter, and of course Jimi Hendrix ). Slayer's first, Ozzy's first and second, Malmsteen's first, are some classic favorites. Love the great songs of the universe! Most of us go to our graves with our music still inside of us. Did I mention I have loved to play the guitar forever? I grew up with other guitar players who have had different kinds of views on what guitar should sound and look like. I look back and see flaws in my own interpretations. And charactaristics that I've overlooked. I imagine. What if the guitarists from the 30's and 40's had my guitar rig? My Crate stack amplifier and Floyd Rosed Jackson guitar and my digital delay pedals? That would be cool. Elvis Presley's guitarist(who I have always liked his playing since I can remember) Hank Garland from 1957 to 1961 could have really used a modern day Marshall stack or something like that. Discovered so many new bands lately that surely are forgeting many. KISS was one of the first bands I was into at 5 years old. Then, Elvis and The Jackson Five! ha ha ha Could play 10 Led Zepplin songs on guitar by the time I was 11. The Rover is also a favorite.
Went to see The Octagon when it first came out back in like 78-79 and before the movie started Chuck Norris, on stage, did a live demonstation for the audience. Really, he's was hanging around our karate dojo next door to the theater. Back then he was just a bare knuckle karate champion who could actually land a spinning back kick flush on the chin. I love movies. As you know there's all kinds of different types of movies. Movies can enrich us and impact our lives in positive ways. I know at least two people who never watch movies ever. And they both seem to share a similiar kind of souless character. Have so much to read already. I'm a study addict. Love reading. Reading is fun at the library. There's always a great big table to sit at and lot's and lot's of books for reference. Good to have books all over the house too because there are just so many for me to examine. Most of the ones I enjoy reading are non-fiction modern physics subjects, like "Spiritual Machines", Hawking’s "A Briefer History of Time", and an awesome book you might like to go out and buy because you'll love it is "Modern Physics" by Kenneth S. Krane.
"Understanding Physics" by Isaac Asimov which a high school teacher got me into and taught me about some of physicists who put there thoeries to the test in thier science fiction stories like Isaac Asimov. "THE SILMARILLION" by J.R.R. Tolkien, epic that recounts The First Age of Middle-earth, long before Bilbo, Frodo and Gandalf go on their quests. Essential background material for serious lovers of fantasy. It sets the stage for The Lord of the Rings saga. "FAHRENHEIT 451" by Ray Bradbury, "A Wizard of Earthsea" by Ursula K. Le Guin, "HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE" by J.K. Rowling, oh my goodness. I love these books. Too bad one can't come out every year. Wonderfully done. Other books i'm reading are "Walking the Tightrope of Reason" by Robert J. Fogelin, and "Bad Dreams" by Kim Newman.
