About Me


A man named Louis Landry lives in Austin, Texas. He is a singer, songwriter, and a multi-instrumentalist with a degree in Music Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University.
For over a decade he has created tapes and CDs for family and friends, beginning with "Happy X-Mas from the Screaming Zygotes," in 1995. After attending Radford (Va.) University, then graduating from VCU, he moved to Austin in 2003, quickly joining the newly-formed Shawn Nelson and The Ramblers for two years of recording and touring. In 2005 he launched a successful business as the propietor of LL Music.
He has performed with L.A. jam band Particle, the legendary Duke Ellington Orchestra, Grammy winner Jimmy Dean (also known for his sausages), Austin improvisational collective The Portal, Larry, Adam Raven, Graham Wilkinson & the Underground Township, Shawn Nelson, LZ Love, Nelson Ray & Friends, musician/composer/actor F.M. Turner, Micah Berry, Special Ed & The Shortbus Bluegrass Band, Donkey Balls, The Wild One, 40,000 Flies, Escalator, Schwill, Jumbo Special, Jack Burton and the Porkchop Express, Anne Kempton & The Koolies, VCU Symphonic Band, Radford University Percussion Ensemble, Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra, The Pride of Salem Marching Band, The Screaming Zygotes and Black Shrapnel.
He has released 3 CDs: IS (1999), ON (2003), and LEAVING & RETURNING (2004); and a multimedia opera entitled TELEVISION AND OTHER FORMS OF TIME TRAVEL. His next CD is being mixed by Bob Amonett at Goliath Studios in Austin. He currently rocks out with PARTYBOOBYTRAP which features Joe Woullard (sax/flute/loops) and Shadd Scott (drums/percussion/vocals).
