The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom

About Me

I am just a regular guy that has big dreams. I am a Christian. Sometimes I live up to it but mostly I miss. I am starting to miss less.I like to play poker .. and I watch the World Poker Tour all the time. I keep thinking that I should make a run at the pros one day soon. I think I live my life like I play poker, "All In." To this end "Deacon Blues" by Steely Dan is my theme song.I work for a company called Universal Advancement. I guess you can say that we help business owners reach their dreams. We provide financing for just about all needs from purchase order and accounts receivable to residential/commercial finance and venture capital.I guess I have a couple of quotes that I will and do strive to live up to:"If you were meant to cure cancer or write a symphony or crack cold fusion and you don't do it, you not only hurt yourself, even destroy yourself. You hurt your children, you hurt me, you hurt the planet. You shame the angels who watch over you and you spite God Almighty, who created you and only you with your unique gifts, for the sole purpose of nudging the human race one millimeter further along its path back to God."-- Stephen Pressfield, The War of Art --If no one remembers the things that I have accomplished, then did I do them at all? The only solution seems to be that I must acheive something spectacular or cause an event that no version of history could ever ignore.-- Modified from the "Dune" series of books --

Your EQ is 153
50 or less: Thanks for answering honestly. Now get yourself a shrink, quick!
51-70: When it comes to understanding human emotions, you'd have better luck understanding Chinese.
71-90: You've got more emotional intelligence than the average frat boy. Barely.
91-110: You're average. It's easy to predict how you'll react to things. But anyone could have guessed that.
111-130: You usually have it going on emotionally, but roadblocks tend to land you on your butt.
131-150: You are remarkable when it comes to relating with others. Only the biggest losers get under your skin.
150+: Two possibilities - you've either out "Dr. Phil-ed" Dr. Phil... or you're a dirty liar. What's Your EQ (Emotional Intelligence Quotient)?

I'd like to meet:

I am not here to meet people, however, if I do meet a woman she would have to be like me. First she has to be a Christian, she has to be intelligent, and beautiful. In a nutshell I have to be able to talk to her for the next 50 years or so and not ever get bored.
