Coco O’Connor

A multi-instrumentalist, Coco plays the cello, the drums, and guitar but what really makes her stand out is her distinctive, sometimes strong-- sometimes vulnerable, yet always commanding vocals.Her song "Higher Power" was selected for the CD Compilation, Hope: Love is the Answer, produced by Grammy Award winning Producer Steve Zuckerman. Her first full length CD , TRANSPARENT received enormous support from NOVA (National Organization for Victim Assistance). A former crime victim herself, she welcomed the opportunity to turn injustice into justice through music. "Something Beautiful" from that CD was in episode 521 of The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson."D’Chase” ( Instrumental)was awarded “Honorable Mention” in the Electronic category in John Lennon Songwriting Competition( 2006). Many of the instrumentals have been placed in various music libraries under "non-exclusive" agreements for film/tv placements. Currently, her instrumental compositions can be found in theDRIVETV show airing in over 300,000 homes worldwide. Her 2nd CD, 7th Wonder was in the electronic/pop vein. The song "Hard Time to Shine" was selected for Denmark's RADIO HOLSTEBRO . This song was sent via "radio promo" CD by NCM and her song was one of 4 songs selected to be played off of the NCM disc and the only Self-produced/Indie Release. The other artists/songs selected were Casting Crowns and Storyside B , both major label artists. This song was also selected for Sonic Vogue Records' ( UK) , Sound of Style compilation CD that introduces some of the most innovative dance music by the best new , emerging electronic artists from around the world.Coco is constantly writing and recording songs in her home which houses her studio known as "The Eagle's Nest" located on 10 glorious acres outside of Santa Fe, NM.
