Get your layout at MyCustomProfile.comTaylor O'Connor divides his time between his boat in San Diego, a crash pad in LA, & Santa Fe, NM where he is the owner of a recording studio called The Goldmine. The studio is one of New Mexico's finest recording facilities containing everything from a custom built Fred Cameron ( former mic tech at Abbey Road Studios , London) tube mic, other miscellaneous vintage tube mics, a Yamaha C7 Grand piano, , custom "chopped" B3 organ w/ Leslie, and even a Fender Rhoades that once belonged to Sir Paul McCartney himself. The outboard gear in the studio ranges from vintage NEVE, Manley, Apogee, and Summit audio to the heart of the studio which is a Trident 80 B console. While the Eagle's Nest records in the digital realm most of the time... there is a Studer 827 machine which is Taylor's preferred way of recording music. He is a firm believer that analog is just better. Always has been ...always will be.Aside from owning the studio, he is a gifted musician who's versatility is a quality that is not found in many musicians today. He has been influenced by jam bands, jazz improvisationlists like Keith Jarrett, but mostly his influence is from classic rock bands of the late 60's thru the 70's. He thinks music began to decline in the 1980's and continues to go in a downward spiral. With the exception of some bands from the 90's like the Black Crowes & Pearl Jam, you won't find any CD's in his collection that have been bought within the last 10 years. As far as downloading goes, he just assume not listen to music in the mp3/mp4 formats and refuses to.Currently he is gracing studio projects with his versatile keyboard skills , yet he is always open to the idea of joining an established band in need of a killer B3 player or something of that nature for touring.Should you be in the Santa Fe area and want to inquire about the use of the studio for a project or if you want to talk w/ Taylor about possible touring/band situations, please drop him an email via myspace or at his personal email address:
