If I knew all the words I would write myself out of here

About Me

Hey, I'm Elana [I know, that's exciting in and of itself]. I'm a 25 years old English graduate and now I'm studying public relations. Go figure
Going away for school was the best decision I have ever made and I urge you all to try it. Sure, it's expensive - but how can you put a price on sanity? Or parental freedom? Or disruption-free sex, for that matter?
I concern myself with my loved ones' well-being more frequently than my own. I love literary theory. I love writing & editing. I love non-restrictive clauses and the joy they bring to an otherwise insipid piece of writing. I love pointing out your grammar mistakes. I love over-using, commas, like, a, mofo. I love literature. I love beginning every sentence of my profile with "I love". I'm smarter than you think. Sure, I may look twelve, but I have the wisdom of a fourteen year-old.
I have a deep fascination with the versatile quality of language, and revere writers capable of creating something beautiful out of the mundane (either through appropriation or more creative means). At times, my passion for language (and music) consumes me to the point of explosion. Even after four years of "higher-education", I still find myself struggling with this passion, unable to channel it into something constructive.
I love music and listen to a wide assortment of different bands, musicians and genres. Do not hate on my music taste. Yes, I listen to some top 40 and no, my intension is not to fit in with the masses. Sure, my music taste is eclectic but then again, so am I. If you try and define me as a person based on my attire and musical preferences, you'll fail. You may think you have me tagged but awww, sorry! You don't.
I'm annoyed by cocky bands/musicians who SUCK and don't know they suck and AMAZING bands/musicians who don't realize how amazing they are and stop playing music/break up. I'm also irritated by fake "punk" sounding voices and those who force something that just ain't there. Horn sections, the acoustic guitar/bongo drum combo, a keyboard or piano combined with, of course, clever and meaningful lyrics make me happy.
I have a "thing" for musicians. The individual who triggered this "thing" knows who he is and likes to milk it for all it's worth. Just kidding. If you are singer-songwriter, chances are I've heard of you and I've already made plans to mother your children. Don't be afraid; it will be painless, I swear. Okay fine, quasi-painless.
I don't like most girls. Girls who pride themselves on being stupid and whoreish make me sick and give the rest of us cool, sex-loving girls a bad name. haha. I also don't like guys who encourage the behaviour of whoreish women, unless said guys are my friends and the girls are giving them blowjobs. Then, and only then, it's deemed acceptable.
I shouldn't be allowed to speak in a public forum. I mean, seriously.
I love clothes and have been known to spend upwards of $350 on a pair of jeans. One may find that shallow and to her, I say "screw you!" I challenge you to try on a pair of Seven jeans and NOT fall in love with your ass! Trust me, it's impossible!
I have an identical twin sister who is nothing like me -- and in case you were wondering, I'm definitely the good twin [I know what you're thinking and the answer is no, you sicko]. If the latter confession didn't dissapoint you too much, add me! Like you have anything better to do. Pfft.
My friends call me Emo. Here is a tribute to me:
I think dreads are hot. If I wasn't so neurotic about cleanliness, I would have my hair dreaded in a second.
p.s: please check out my musician friends on my top eight

My Interests

sex, reading, writing, graphic television surgeries on TLC, listening to music and oh yeh, sex.

I'd like to meet:

Ideally, my soulmate. No, just kidding. I'm basically here to check out some new, refreshing music, faces and if I'm lucky, acquire sex tips from the mass of pornstars using this service for, well, who knows?

If you use "heart" instead of love, teh s3x, lmao (any variation), lolz, le sigh or basically any terminology escaping the mouth or fingertips of a prepubescent scenester, we are not friends. if you do, stop!!1!1!! it's, like, tres annoying!!1!1 okthanx bye! lolz!

Please note that if I do not know you personally, I will be evaluating your competence based on your profile. I'm a snob like that.

Please be witty.
