I am here for Friends

About Me

About me huh? Well I am 26 years old, 5'9"(69 inches, haha!), 140lbs, and have green eyes. Please, read on................ I was in the Army for 4 1/2 years from '99-'04...went all over the world, to 11 countries I believe, fought in the invasion of Iraq in spring of '03, got home only to be kicked out for being gay...talk about a stab in the back...I had just re-enlisted too...their loss, I was a damn good soldier... I live in downtown Savannah and am looking to start school at Savannah College of Art and Design sometime in the near future...don't ask me why I haven't quite gotten there yet...even I don't really know! It will happen soon though...I think! :-)..

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Folks who can handle and enjoy the complexities of my personality. (I'm a good guy, I promise!) "When people can walk away from you, let them walk. Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left." :-)

Music:

Starting college is exposing me to a whole new set of really neat bands, so this section is constantly changing, but Coldplay is still def my favorite band. OneRepublic has an album out now called Dreaming Out Loud that I simply can't stop listening to over and over...and The Smashing Pumpkins are always right there at the top of my list. :) The video below is of an amazing, openly gay Israeli singer named Ivri Lider. The video on the other side of my page is by him as well. His stuff is boss, so enjoy. :^)

Movies:

My favorite movie of all-time is The Talented Mr. Ripley. The setting, acting, and storyline are all top notch...but the music of the film is easily what best defines it. The AMAZING Gabriel Yared composes half of the soundtrack, while the rest of it consists of jazz classics by Guy Barker, Dizzy Gilespie, and Charlie Parker...oh, and Matt Damon himself sings My Funny Valentine! :) Anyway, point is, that this movie is the standard bearer for cinematic excellence in my mind. If you haven't seen it, check it out!

Television:

WEST WING!!!...All day, everyday! Anyone who knows me knows that if I have any free time, and I'm at my house, 97.4% of the time I am either watching West Wing DVD's or playing Guild Wars online on my 'puter. :) These days though, school consumes me, and that's a good thing!

Books:

Does Sports Illustrated count as a book??? :^D

Heroes:

I used to have one...but when he decided I was no longer worth his time, he lowered himself in my eyes.
