if you can't live without me, why aren't you dead?

About Me

many different things to many different people...but briefly... recent law school graduate... bartender for way too long...and i love love love my friends and miss that i don't see them enough!

My Interests

1. TRAVEL... and not your typical US tourist type...been to Russia, Cuba, Trinidad, Tobago (quite possibly Heaven on earth), Belize, Guatemala and the usuals (Mexico, Paris, Ireland)2. People...the crazier the better, i'm a magnet for them anyway3. the Ocean and water in general...swim, fish, scuba, sail and lay on the beach...perfect4. Dancing with my Girls...the kind of get naked and dance on a bar stuff that my friends are infamous for (i promised them i wouldn't lose anymore shoes in the cooler...although, i can't promise that i won't still fall in)5. International Policy and Development...really, the US isn't the only country in the world...i don't want to "save the world", i just want to know what other people in it think

I'd like to meet:

honestly... NOT looking to meet new people, just trying to keep up with the ones i actually know...BUT, if you're a world leader or want to give me a job traveling the world, by all means message away

Music:

johnny cash, tom waits, norah jones, massive attack, the cure, r.e.m., blondie, marvin gaye, beastie boys, eurythmics, the ramones, violent fems, the sundays, the pretenders, robert johnson, billie holiday, mazzy star, patsy cline...anything that makes me smile...and, obnoxious dance music when appropriate!!!

Movies:

so many, but here are a few that i could watch anyday...pillow book, the lover, breakfast at tiffany's, the red jacket, burnt by the sun, big fish, best in show, the royal tennenbaums, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind... the classics for me are movies that i could watch without the sound and still be mesmerized

Television:

anything that makes critics say America is a cultural void...i'm addicted

Books:

it's been sooo long since I got to read for pleasure, so besides contract law, torts, etc (all the legal classics)...Master and Margarita by Bulgakov (along with most of early 20th century Russian lit), Beloved by Morrison, Love Medicine by Erdrich... much in the realm of critical theory (Habermas, Marcuse, etc)...and many many more

Heroes:

my grandpa and old people in general... there's something about a life lived
