Did you not tell him they were the Lord's chips?

About Me

****I am big on travelling and seeing crusty, run-down places. Nothing is more thrilling than driving to a destination unknown and coming across abandoned things and places. Mom and pop diners, roadside attractions and dumpy places with history really get me excited. I'm always thinking about things to photograph, things to make, things to sketch...it keeps me up at night; not always a good thing. When the kids are older, I fully intend to move out west and start designing movie posters. I would also be perfectly content to sweep up dirt from a movie set - whichever comes first.**

My Interests

I love watching "Dallas" box sets with my husband. We've made it to season 5 thus far. I enjoy finding weird old cameras to load film into and see what comes out. I enjoy making things (anything)and being creative. I spend way too much time on Flickr (hi, Lauren!)Collecting autographs has been a hobby for years. I am a thrift store fiend...it's like I'm a crazy person. I love antiques and anything mid-century. I enjoy collecting vinyl...I can clear any room...quick (Dobie Gillis sings, anyone?)

I'd like to meet:

It would have been nice to hang out with the King and shoot at the television. Tagging along with Sinatra could also have proven entertaining. Being a Dead End Kid for a day and consorting with Leo Gorcey would have been nice, too.

Music:

I like good stuff, corny stuff and everything in between. In all seriousness, my favorite artist is Roky Erickson. Thank the heavens above that he is back on track and performing once again. My prayers have been answered!

Movies:

Urban Cowboy is quite possibly the best movie of all time. Sweet and Lowdown, Nacho Libre, Johnny Suede, Duel in the Sun, O'Brother Where Art Thou?, This Boy's Life, Ski Party, Summer Place, Angels With Dirty Faces, Goonies, King Creole, Cry-Baby, Back to the Future, Daddy Long Legs, High School Caesar, Village of the Giants, Lewis Clark and George and many more.

Television:

Dallas, Boston Legal (I LOVE SHATNER), Golden Girls, CSI Miami (only to count how many times David Caruso removes his sunglasses), Extra, E-News, The Soup

Books:

US Magazine

Heroes:

Rose McGowan has a clue.

Postal smackdown

I have a low tolerance for rude employees. Always have. Today, my son and I went to the post office to send out a package. After patiently waiting in line, a customer leaves and the register opens up....
