About Me

Go to www.nat-and-pat.us .

I am insatiably curious. I laugh a lot. I'm a terrible liar. I treasure my family and friends; ultimately they are what life is all about. I'm discovering that I am an unusual mix of the extremely traditional and the exceptionally unconventional. My paths have wandered through some odd landscapes along the way which have made their individual contributions to this strange and ever-changing brew.

My Interests

FreeBSD, knives, swords, guns and other weaponry, travel, reading, foreign cultures & customs, language and expression, libertarian ideals, tetris, german shepherds, schutzhund, spirituality, history, ballet, the hidden or forbidden, qabalah, tarot, honest exploration of the self, outdoorsy activities, cooking, sewing, quilting, dancing, singing, painting and art of all sorts, community supported agriculture, heirloom gardening, birding, and having afternoon tea.
500 Years of Female Portraits in Western Art

I'd like to meet:

People who want to leave the world a little better than they found it. Those who have retained their sense of wonder and a thirst for knowledge. Those whom I have lost along the way and would love to encounter again. :-)

"How soon we forget history... Government is not reason. Government is not eloquence. It is force. And, like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." -- George Washington

KNOWING IS NOT ENOUGH; WE MUST APPLY. WILLING IS NOT ENOUGH; WE MUST DO. ---GOETHE

We went to New Orleans for our honeymoon and had a fantastic time. Our hotel was a block from Bourbon Street, where we spent much time raising a ruckus. Here are some pictures. I've left out the i...

I love it when I get what I want.

I've never had a mac before. I would not have even considered it before OS X came out. I'm quite pleased with it; OS X is lovely, probably due in large part to the fact that it has a BSD kernel! ...
