About Me

Le Switch came together in bits and pieces.
In early 2005, singer/guitarist Aaron Kyle was laid off from his job and decided to hit the road for a month. His old friend Christopher Harrison had a van and an equal amount of free time on his hands, so they headed off on a cross-country tour.
Back in L.A., Aaron met up with Joe Napolitano, a Brooklyn transplant and percussionist with an affinity for Bongos and Shakers. Aaron and Joe decided to put together a proper band. And after a few months of playing as a duo around L.A., they added Maria Deluca to the mix.
Maria was the trumpet player for popular New York ska band "The Loose Nuts", and had once played viola for the pope (the dead one, not the nazi), so she was happy to add these well-honed skills, and a much needed woman's touch, to the group.
The last two members came soon after. Christopher Harrison, the man with the van, signed on to play bass. And when the group was lacking a piano player, Maria recommended composer Joshua J. Charney. Josh jumped on board and the group was complete.
Le Switch have performed live on KXLU (Demolisten, Live at 5), SIRUS Satellite Radio and have turned on audiences throughout the Los Angeles area.
"Hello Today" is Le Switch's first official EP. Produced and recorded by Joe Napolitano, "Hello Today" was released in January 2007.
Come check out Le Switch live at various venues in LA (Spaceland, The Echo, Silverlake Lounge, Tangier, El Cid ect.), or in a town near you. They're bound to be there soon... Hello Today!

Sounds Like: "The Switch is one of my favorite local bands at the moment"
---You Set The Scene.com
Employing a timeless mix of guitar, bass, keys and drums, Le Switch deftly augment their boozy, barroom pop sound with multi-instrumentalist Maria DeLuca's viola and trumpet interspersed throughout their set. Deluca's subtle textures, combined with Kyle's trademark lyrical howl, make up Le Switch's secret weapon. When the two come together, expertly backed on drums/percussion by Joe Napolitano, Josh Charney on keys, and Christopher Harrison on bass, even the most jaded hipster in the bar can't help but take notice.

"The band is now a quintet and far beyond what you'd consider "passionate." Furiously belting out melodies with guitars, percussion, bass and a wicked trumpet player in Maria DeLuca, the Switch played a brutal set with glorious results. If that display of musicanship wasn't good enough, and it was, last night's gig at Radio Free Silver Lake's "Let's Independent" sealed the band's reputation as an incredible band to behold.
I'd wager most people confuse The Switch as the next Cold War Kids, but this is light years better and definitely believeable."

"Bittersweet and melodic..."
---Flavorpill
"Fans of The Beatles, The Animals, Tom Waits and Elvis Costello should take note and pick up a copy of The Switch. With the way their local scene is going as of late, it wouldn't be too surprising to see their name in lights at a town near you soon."

"The last time I saw The Switch play? They completely fucking killed it"
---Radio Free Silverlake
"Where the hell did the Switch come from? They were incredible! They do the country roots rock thing brilliantly. I picked up their EP and have been playing it all weekend."
