Besides working a lot, I have 4 children's books copyrighted, one not finished yet (The Adventures of Li'l Gif (a book about a giraffe from Kenya seeking the American Dream), a few I am preparing to submit for publishing, a few trademark ideas. I love making my own jams and jellies. I also love the usual...the beach...traveling. I have been to Mardi Gras, and Paris. What's next? Maybe an African Safari. I love giraffes. I love volunteering. I used to tutor (Chemistry and Eng. Comp for ESL students), Literacy Volunteer, and the 2000-2002 NAACP secretary in my former town. I just moved here from New England, and love the weather here, and love where I live, and be near my daughter and grandbabies, but not sure I want to stay! There is a lot of immorality and jaded people. A lot of prejudgement for us people from the North, and a lot of prejudice people. Is the Civil War still going on? It's the 21st Century, people! Grow up!
Someone who can bring more to the table than their *d*. I have gone the love route, gone the great sex route, gone the mommy route, and am looking for someone who will give me laughter and the finer things in life. I appreciate the compliments, but I am not looking for a fling, or casual sex.
R&B, soul and hip hop only (a little bit of rap and reggae). NOOOOO Rock, NOOOOOO Country & Western, NOOOOO Opera.
Ok, Corrina Corrina always makes me cry no matter how many times I watch it. I also like How Stella Got her Groove Back, and The Bone Collector with Denzel Washington in it.
The Glenn Beck Show is addicting (CNN Headlines). My day is not right unless I watch him at least once, sometimes 3 times in the same day. And of course, old favorites: Cops, Sex & the City, and wa-a--a-y back when....Quantum Leap!
I have an addiction to books, especially anything to do with the Constitution and law, but 3 classics come to mind; Black Like Me, The Making of a Surgeon, The Diary of Anne Frank, ok, make it 4, no 5...Slave Nation, Men in Black (about Supreme Court judges), ok 6, The Shaping of Black America by Lerone Bennett, Jr, and anything by or about Barack Obama: Working To Make A Difference, Dreams Of My Father, and the latest is "The Audacity of Hope." Also: Real Men Cook (forward by Barack), and Should Barack Obama Be President? by W. Frederick Zimmerman.
Martin Luther King, and my dad. He received a purple heart and 4 bronze stars as a military police officer in the army.
