About Me

I've lived a fast-paced and crazy life, and I'm grateful for every morning I wake up.
I love being around animals because I respect the fact that they don't know the meaning of the word "betrayal". They're pure, and that's not something you find in the animal we call homo sapien. Yet I do find certain humans to be quite extraordinary - and I feel an ethereal pull towards those special few. A "spiritual magnetism" if you would. If you are one of those people, I'll be the most loyal and attentive friend you could have - that is, if you can physically FIND me... If you aren't one of those people to whom I am drawn, I would avoid thee -lest the menace, but unless we were to meet on the civil grounds of equality.

I like getting on stage in greasepaint and costume. Swordfighting and melee combat with makeshift weapons used to be an occupation, then it became a passion and now it's just a hobby. I like climbing trees when I'm playing paintball. I like camping in the woods for weeks at a time, having all-day movie marathons and attending barbeques and cookouts. I'm a wild child at times and very reserved at others, and I pride myself on both my discipline AND knowledge. Of throwing discipline out the window in favor of a little healthy insanity, I may have myself been known to take risks of varying severity and humor.
You're 70% Irish
You're very Irish, and most likely from Ireland.
(And if you're not, you should be!) How Irish Are You?

My Interests

Archaeological studies of the times before man -- the evolution of technology and how it affects the living world -- forming elite sniping squads and playing paintball until the sun goes down -- messing around with computer generated images and animation -- Ich Liebe meine Volkswagen -- forming L337 squads to take down the bad guys online -- I like being me -- I also like getting up onto the stage and becoming someone else -- I like collecting antiquities -- I will always enjoy learning new things.

I'd like to meet:

I would meet anyone who can understand and appreciate the serendipitous nature of the fates, and how generous they're being with us when we're given an opportunity to share air.

I will add anyone - professors and pornstars, politicians and plumbers, presidents and peasants - I'm not judgemental, but should you offend even just the once I'll cast you out of my world. Respect my space and I'll respect yours. Adding me will require that you know my last name, so MESSAGE ME BEFORE YOU ADD ME.

If you have AOL instant messenger, I am
not usually on
And I'm on yahoo messenger
even more rarely.

Music:

I like many different varieties of music. Some of my favorite bands/artists are Demented Are Go, the Beatles, Elvis Presley, Elvis Hitler, Jimi Hendrix, Snoop Dogg, Avenue D, John Coltrane, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, I like me some Bob Marley and when I'm cruisin' it's gotta be music from the early days of White Zombie.

Movies:

I love movies. Everything from the silent westerns to the next Denzel Washington flick. I especially like sci-fi and adventure. Mysteries, dramas, action - they all have the potential to hold my interest. Grade B features are the best. The lower the budget and the more fake blood used, the better.

Television:

Tales From the Crypt
the Twilight Zone
Alfred Hitchcock Presents
Battlestar Galactica
ATHF
Animal Planet
TCM
anything that's NOT reality tv.

I have a new-found respect for "Malcolm in the Middle" for many reasons. The writers on that show are masters of irony and the talent is extraordinary. Almost as good as Ed Norton, Danny DeVito and Robin Williams in the comedy, "Death to Smoochy."

Books:

Books are definitely beneficial to the survival of the human race simply on the general assumption that when people read I tend to want to decapitate them a lot less. I read all sorts of books - preferably science fiction or medieval fantasy. I just finished the final Harry Potter. I like J.K. Rowling - her work reminds me of Roald Dahl's.

Heroes:

my grandfather, my brothers, Flora MacDonald, Robert the Bruce, Steve Irwin, G.I. Joe (the pigeon), Ghandi, Tich Quang Duc, Frank Lloyd Wright, Beowulf, Jeanne d'Arc, Sen. Niel Armstrong, Master Shake, Frylock, Meatwad, Sam Raimi, Doctor Who

Heroes are people who will stick to their word, never betray your trust and generally speaking are a benefit to the world.
