In my spare time I do horse riding, and I used to do Jujitsu. I've been riding since I was 6, and I've fallen off horses 3 times. The first two were when I was about 7 or 8, and there was a storm outside the barn I was riding in. The horse went insane - the first time it suddenly started going sideways and I kept going forwards D: the second time it bucked and I landed on my head, which wasn't fun. The 3rd time I fell off was much more recently - last year I went on a riding holiday at the beginning of the summer. It was the first time I'd done jumping since we'd moved house - over 4 years ago. We started off doing fairly small jumps, but one of them had trays of water underneath and the horse got scared and jumped MUCH too high over the jump. I fell off and landed in the water -_- I went to the same place again this year though and jumped 3 feet - much better.
In JJ (I never know how to spell jujitsu, so I shall use JJ from now on) I reached my orange belt red tip. Orange belt is the 4th belt, and red tip means I have completed half my grading for Green Belt. Because of being in the junior group we only did half gradings at a time. I didn't really like the system but I had to deal with it :P After green belt it goes blue, purple brown and then black. I had to give up because of a back injury, and because it was taking up too much of my free time and I was getting behind on school work.
Some other things I do in my spare time are writing and art. I keep planning to write long stuff, novels etc. But I always give up part way through. Last November I did NaNoWriMo - http://www.nanowrimo.org/ - where you have 1 month to write a 50,000 word novel. I completed it (although the story was no where near finished at 50,000 words) but I am not happy with the quality of the writing. It'd be a monster to edit, so I'll probably abandon it, for a few years at least. I intend to try again this year.
Art stuff is fun. I enjoy drawing in pencil or pen, and I like paint. I sometimes use acrilics or watercolours, but I'm not very good with those. I love glass paint, but I don't often use it on glass. I like the effect it has on paper most. I did a few pictures a while ago (only one of them came out good) of faces, with the face shaded in pencil and then the lips and hair in glass paint, with pencil lines underneath. It worked really well, I'm planning to do more stuff like that in the future. I also like using colouring pencils, but I get frustrated with them easily...
People just to be friends with. I really don't want to have an online boyfriend or girlfriend - I think it's kinda stupid. People lie online all the time, sometimes without realising it, about things like age, where they live, how popular or something like that they are in real life. Sometimes people just have a totally different personality online, because of typing speed being different to talking speed and things like that. It's fine for making friends, but I don't want to get into anything more than that if it's going to be weird to meet up with them :P
So yeah, friends. Friends are fun. I want to meet people who can type literately, I don't mind spelling errors I make them all the time, but using chat speak or deliberately spelling things wrong out of lazyness is not good. I'm not usually able to be friends with Christians, though I make exceptions if you're open minded and friendly. It's just that my parents are Christians and they're closed minded ignorance is really irritating -_-
Anyway, I'm typing too much :P
Phantom of the Opera = I have recently started listening to Hilary Duff - someone shoot me, I KNOW she sucks.
Like I mentioned in the music thingy, I love Phantom of the Opera (2004). I keep meaning to get hold of the other versions of it, there's lots ^_^ But I am lazy. I also love the DVD version of Cats - I don't know how I'd survive without it, cos Cats isn't on stage any more in England, so I probably won't ever get to see it except on the DVD. I slightly obsessively love the Matrix Trilogy (Reloaded is my favourite - I love the twins and the upgraded agents =D) and I love V for Vendetta which I saw recently. I think it's probably the best movie I've ever seen. I like lots of other movies of course, I'll watch pretty much anything but not really boring crap.
I recently saw 2 more brilliant movies I hadn't seen before - Moulin Rouge and The Lake House. I actually had seen Moulin Rouge before, but I was only 12 and so I wasn't really mature enough to enjoy it. I love it now - makes me cry teh lots.
I saw The Lake House with my parents when it first came out, and loved it. I think it's my new favourite movie - not in the 'eeeeeOMGOMGOMG' way I love Phantom of the Opera and The Matrix, but just because it's VERY good. I cried (as usual). Go see it D=
Another movie update (I never take anything out of this section, just add to it. Tis a bad habit) is that I LOVE Interview with the Vampire. I read the book while we were on holiday, and downloaded the movie when we got home. Something many people don't know about me is that I hate Tom Cruise. A lot. I used to think he couldn't act at all (and still think he generally doesn't), thought (and still think) he was the most unattractive actor I have EVER seen. He's almost unrecognisable in IwtV. So much, in fact, that I had to check IMDB before posting this to make sure it really was him and that I wasn't making a great fool of myself :P I also don't think much of Brad Pitt - and meh, he's still ugly as hell, but he did ok. Anyway, it's an awesome movie, loved it muches, you should watch it.
The last movie I saw (that I hadn't seen already) was: Children of Men.Absolutely fucking brilliant - go see it.
I almost never watch TV. I watched Brat Camp though - which is a series about teenagers who have behaviour problems and get sent to nasty therapy places in America. It's real and stuff, not actors or anything. It's really interesting to me cos I've been in one of those kinds of places before - go to www.mountainhomesyouthranch.com to see what it was like :P I also enjoy watching things like Pop Idol, X Factor, Pop Stars etc. I know they're pointless and stupid, but I love the early stages of it with the idiots who can't sing or are all creepy and stalkerish. And then I kinda get into it as it goes on and start actually caring about who wins XD
Currently obsessively watching: X FACTOR!!!
I love reading, I read all the time that I'm not on the internet or doing something else. My favourite book is The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, and my second favourite book is The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. I feel kind of bad putting PotO second, but the Handmaid's Tale is just too awesome not to be first :P I also recently enjoyed reading The Time Traveller's Wife (I'm sure I spelled that wrong D:).
I am currently reading: Carrie, by Stephen King
