THE INSIDERS--Metalheadz / Creative Source / 31 / Intrigue

The Insiders are a dynamic drum n bass production outfit, made up of long time friends Ben Payne and Joe Wills hailing from Bristol, UK.
Their take on drum n bass is best described as ‘deep’ with a progressive edge, and over the past few years they have released music on some of the most pretigious labels in the scene. Tracks have appeared on Metalheadz, Creative Source, Renegade, 31 Records, Defunked, Frontline, Good Looking (as Catch 22) and Nu Directions. Ben and Joe have also been keen to showcase their DJ skills over the past five years, with two mix CDs on Renegade (‘Renegade Rollers’) and Nu Directions (‘Infinite in all Directions’).
Tracks from Ben and Joe have featured in the boxes of a multitude of top DJs including Fabio, LTJ Bukem, Goldie, Storm, Zinc, D-Bridge, A.I. and DJ Marky. Their new work has been receiving regular airings from Bailey and Fabio on BBC Radio.
2008 is shaping up well for the duo, with tracks signed to the new imprint from Goldie, Rufige, and work forthcoming on Integral, Mac II and Nu Directions. This year has been big for collaborations with other artists too, including work with Random Movement, Soul Intent, Mutt, Saburuko and Survival.
The Insiders have been in high demand as DJs all over the world, with dates across the UK, Europe and the Far East, hitting the USA for the first time last year. In London they play regularly at liquid funk institution, Swerve, at The End club. Closer to home, they keep things running tight with their Intrigue residency in Bristol, which recently celebrated its 5th birthday.
And yes...both of them will be here for a 2 hour set
