I am a keyboardist, composer and sound designer. Over that last 20 years, my material found its way into various music productions all over the world, also into film soundtracks, TV-commercials and synthesizer factory presets and also music software.
It all started in 1983 with the legendary Yamaha DX7. I was one of the first keyboardists in Germany who was crazy enough to get into the so mystical FM programming, which directly led to my first job as a sound designer. Many more beautiful instruments from Alesis, Korg, Roland, Yamaha, Steinberg, Akai and others followed, and in 1995 I founded my sound and sample development label Back in Time Records. Since then, I released more than 30 sample library CDs, provided content for numerous VSTs, litteraly did thousands of sounds and some other serious –musician´s stuff too like owner´s manuals for synths, printed books and so on...

Speaking of music! I am a passionate keyboard player in the first place. This kind of pianist, synthesist an organ player in one person. My current personal favourites are Alesis Andromeda and the Fusion, Roland JD800 as well as my very vintage looking Minimoog and of course I´m using a lot of those cool software synths and sampleplayers like these from Arturia, Steinberg, Sonic Reality etc.. I play on various studio recordings, also my solo project Max Dawson Project, the live electronic synth trio Helio.Gen, and the Art Rock/Prog band Milo's Craving, who released their debut album The more you know- in autumn 2007. The album received overwhelmingly positive press reviews all over Europe and Japan, which means that the next album is to be recorded very soon. Pretty busy bee, isn’t it?
As if this wasn't enough, I 've been writing articles for music magazines since the mid 80s and released a novel and 4 non-fiction books. Phew. What else? I don't know! Let's see what the future will tell.
