About Me

There was a little girl,
Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good,
She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.
--Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Wizard

Wizards are hands-on learners who live in the moment, seeking the best in life, and wanting to share it with their friends. They are open to situations and are able to improvise to bring about desired results. They are active people who want to solve their problems rather than simply discuss them.

They are the most adept among the types at manipulating other people - allowing others to view one's position. Concrete in speech and utilitarian in action and they are smooth operators. The Wizard knows everyone who matters and everything there is to do because they are very resourceful, always knowing where the fun and action is. They like to indulge themselves in the finer things in life and to bring other people with them. Dramatic and debonair, they are gifted at earning others' confidence.

Wizards are civic-minded individuals who dedicate themselves to maintaining the institutions behind a smooth-running society. They are defenders of the status quo and strong believers in rules and procedures. They are outgoing and do not hesitate to communicate their opinions and expectations to others.

The Mage may be able to tap into mystical energies, but the immeasurable power of the elements is only fully realized in the spells cast by the Wizard. Only a fool would dare challenge the awesome might of a Wizard's advanced elemental skills head on. Their magic wreaks havoc by seizing nature and shaping it. Through strong focus they can summon great storms to assail and demolish multiple enemies in one blow.

My Interests

Market research. Weight-Lifting. Meditation. Cooking. Road trips. Small furry animals. Beauty & Fashion. Nutrition. People watching. Writing. Fitness. Wiccanism. Collecting enough makeup, hair products, books, movies, CDs/records and shoes to supply a third-world country. For a few years. Talking to myself and waiting for a response, and being delighted when I'm given one. Traveling. Rocking out hard enough to kill someone.

I'd like to meet:

People who live their lives without excuses or moral hypocrisy--life is way too short to waste time fretting about your actions...do what you want according to your standards, and own your life. Beyond that, I'm pretty open.

Music:

I like music that doesn't suck. And of the pop persuasion--I'll pretty much like anything if it's pop-ish in nature. Heck, even if it's overproduced pop. And it's better if it's sung in a language I can't understand, like Japanese. I also tend to like the extreme ends of whatever spectrum you have--the saccharin, the "this makes Baudelaire cry," the 600 BPM, etc. What, like I'm going to list bands after sifting though my movie collection for 30 minutes?

Movies:

American Psycho. Bamboozled. Clockwork Orange. Donnie Darko. Exorcist. Frankenstein. Godfather. Harry Potter. I Love You Don't Touch Me. Jawbreaker. Kill Bill. Lost in Translation. Metropolis. Natural Born Killers. Office Space. Princess Mononoke. Quills. Requiem for a Dream. Seventh Seal. Taxi Driver. Uncle Tom's Cabin. Virgin Suicides. What Ever Happened to Baby Jane. My collection is rather spotty at this point.

Television:

Anything about the pretty people in the pretty houses, cooking the pretty food and driving the pretty cars. That, and the shows that tend to be canceled. BET should be destroyed.

Books:

Just stick me in the anthropology, psychology, advertising/marketing, or business section and I'll be fine. And the classic horror section. And history if it's not written from a colonialist ( " " ) perspective. And cooking. And art.

Heroes:

uh...myself? And this one homeless man that once asked me for something to eat, and then told me that he didn't want it because he didn't like California Pizza Kitchen--he was a Lou Malnati's man. I nodded, and while walking away I realized that I'd never be closer to enlightenment as I was in that moment.
