About Me

Myspace Backgrounds Who am I......when you are my age, I think that is a loaded question. I know who I am becoming. I have experienced so much in this short life. I learned to walk in Germany, I learned to fight in Korea as I trained for an entire summer in full contact martial arts and have traveled this country showing horses.....I am a true cowboy in every sense of the word, honest, Godly, strong, safe, with a love of ranching and family that caries throughout all six in our family. This has given me the experience to begin to write. I have felt pain in losing a brother and grace for understanding. But mainly, I am Cole........A great friend, a horseman, a singer, rancher and old beyond my years.Music....How do I desribe my music? I want to remain true to myself and play music that moves me. I play country and while many will argue what that is, to me it means music like Stevie Wonder said,'Music in the Key of Life." I sing of what I know, what I feel and who I am becomming. Country music spans the spectrum of the lives we live and can relate to in our heart. I want to cross boundaries and be an outlaw and play music people will feel. It doesn't mean I have to live bad to play good. I don't conform to a picture or a package and I play for YOU not for the money.......So listen, be my friend and my fan. Tell me what you think, give me advice and remember I am just like you. I have been there. Thanks for all who have given me words of encouragement and even the truth, even if I didn't like it......I am trying to find the right voice to get there, any advice, songs or help, I am all ears. Thanks for letting me be part of your music world. I respect so much those who came before me and hope I can make all of you proud. Stand by me, there are great things to come!COLE

My Interests

Music:

Influences: Traditional country.....love gone wrong type songs. Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Randy Travis and many of the new singers who followed, Trace Adkins, Josh Turner, Joe Nichols, Chris LeDoux (the cowboy in me), Brooks and Dunn for the fun they sing and many others but more than anything else, I want my originals out there.I really want to maintain an image I can live and be proud of the rest of my life. God plays a big part in everything I do. Beyond that, as a cutting horse rider, cowboys and cowgirls play a big part of my life. I am proud of the character they represent, the family values and the amount of work it takes. I think the songs Geroge Strait and Chris Ledoux sing say it the best.In the end, our family influences us the most. Ours is very close and this is the most important part of my life, the time we spend on the ranch together doing the things we all love.

Sounds Like: At this stage I don’t want to sound like anyone (probably because they wouldn’t want me to say they sound like me), I want to move people when I sing, I want them to feel my songs, happy, sad, boot scootin or in your face....I want you to know why I am singing that song and I felt the need to play it. Others have made their way and I am trying to make mine..so what is that? I am a traditional-country-crossover, soul struck blues loving cowboy playing what’s in my heart!Blessings,Cole : : : .. :

What will I do this summer?

This summer brings many changes in my life. First, my knee is pretty beaten up and while it is getting better, it still hurts. It is delaying me getting back on horses and that is sad since I have two...
