Connor Blackley

My name is Connor, and I am 11 years old. I love all kinds of music: jazz, pop, Christian…but my favorite is country. I started singing in the children’s choir at my church when I was 5, and soon I was doing solos. I started voice lessons when I was 7 and then a year later I started voice lessons with Miss Marie. I’ve been with her 2 1/2 years, and she has taught me so much! I sing a lot around Florida with Miss Marie’s Kids, and I also have done several 30 minute concerts on my own, including the Strawberry Festival, the Clay County Fair, a benefit for the Children’s Miracle Network and most recently the St. Luke's Church Spring Fair. In March of last year, I was one of 6 kids who were picked to record vocals on a children's cd entitled "Motivate With Mrs. Kate" by Kate Carpenter. That was so much fun. I have competed and won several talent competitions as well. Last year, I won the titles of Male Vocalist of the Year (age 7-12) and Male Entertainer of the Year (age 7-12) at the OBCMAI Awards. I competed this March in the NACMAI awards and won Male Vocalist of the Year (age 7-12) and Male Entertainer of the Year (age 7-12). Last month I was 1st runner up out of 22 kids in the Camden Jr. Idol competition
